According to local sources, Pakistani troops opened indiscriminate fire on marching protesters and resorted to heavy shelling to stop the convoy in Bhimber, PoJK. Despite the crackdown, the protesters are refusing to back down.

The number of those beaten is impossible to track. Protesters were chased, encircled and beaten severely.
