Around 8.45 am that day, the law student, Hemanth, and a car driver, Shreyas, were involved in a road rage incident and were fighting in the middle of the road, holding up traffic. Police Constable Manjunath, who was near the traffic junction, asked them to clear the street for traffic, which enraged Hemanth, who allegedly abused the constable, a police officer said. Police said the accused submitted an FIR on February 21, alleging that the woman, along with a man identifying himself as Imran from a regional news outlet, demanded money and threatened to air defamatory content if he refused to pay. According to officials, the extortion complaint was lodged a day before the woman approached authorities accusing Dixon Sando and Nikhil of sexual assault. Officers are now probing both versions to establish the sequence of events. In his statement, the complainant said he has lived at his current address for nearly two decades and runs a second-hand car business in #Rajajinagar area. He also claimed to operate a leased villa in #Jakkur that is rented out for small events and parties. He told police that his friend Dixon had booked the villa from February 14 to 16 for a #ValentinesDay gathering. The complainant said he reached the party around 2 am on February 14, where he met the woman. According to his version, the woman shared personal problems during the party and behaved in an overly familiar manner, which he said he discouraged. He further claimed that after the gathering ended around 4 am, she asked him for a drop. During the ride, she allegedly described herself as a "sugar baby" looking for a "sugar daddy" and asked him to connect her with potential contacts. The complainant also alleged that on February 18 the woman posted on Instagram accusing him and one more of drugging and sexually assaulting her at the party. Soon after, he claimed he began receiving calls from two phone numbers, with the caller identifying himself as "Imran, Crime Branch Head of Raj News". According to the complaint, the caller demanded that he meet them alone and pay money to the woman to 'settle' the matter, warning that a damaging television promo had already been prepared. The complainant has sought action against the woman, the caller, and others allegedly involved in blackmail. In her complaint, the 19-year-old college student alleged she was gang-raped after being forced to consume an intoxicating substance at a private villa in a posh Bengaluru locality. The first-year BA student, originally from #TamilNadu, told police she had been living in Bengaluru for about five months for her studies. The woman claimed the two men later forced her to consume a pink tablet, after which she felt dizzy and lost consciousness. A 22-year-old man was arrested at West Norwood Masjid in London on Saturday after allegedly assaulting and threatening to stab members of the mosque, including the imam. Members of the mosque released a statement: “This morning, after Fajr salah, an individual threatened to stab the Imam and other musallees at West Norwood Masjid. During the incident, two brothers were assaulted and taken to hospital by ambulance.” The man was arrested under the Mental Health Act according to the Met Police and it appears he is a Muslim. The incident is not being treated as terror related.

She told the jury they would hear evidence from witnesses as well as police interviews carried out with the Donaldsons at the time of their arrest in 2024. Ms Walsh said two complainants had come forward to police more than two years ago and reported “difficult and traumatic incidents they say happened when they were children”. She said the evidence of the two complainants would in part be delivered during the trial by pre-recorded interviews. She said they would be cross-examined by barristers but would not come into the court. Ms Walsh said that in March 2024 Complainant B told police that she had been sexually abused when she was a child and that she remembered two incidents “vividly”. In the first alleged incident, she told the police that Jeffrey Donaldson had put his hands down her underwear, pulled her legs apart and then sexually assaulted her. In the second incident she told police that Donaldson had lifted her top and started to touch her breasts. Ms Walsh said Complainant B had said there were other incidents and that Donaldson had put his hands down her pants “a lot”. The barrister told the jury that Complainant B had later been at a meeting with Donaldson at a Christian centre and he had “apologised to her for what had happened in the past”. Ms Walsh then turned to the evidence that would be presented during the trial by Complainant A. Complainant A also made a statement to police in March 2024. She alleged that Donaldson touched her on a number of occasions under her top when she was a child. She told police that touching her had become something he had “done quite often”. She told police that Donaldson would make comments about her appearance, including the size of her breasts. She recalled one incident where she claimed that Donaldson had been “looking at her private parts”. The jury was told that the Donaldsons had been arrested on March 28 2024 and were subject to a number of police interviews. In Jeffrey Donaldson’s interview, when Complainant B’s account was put to him, he said it was “unbelievable” that he would have touched her in a sexual way. Regarding Complainant A, he denied that he ever rubbed her breast. Eleanor Donaldson is facing a trial of the facts, not a criminal trial, after Judge Paul Ramsey ruled her unfit to stand trial on mental health grounds. Police are looking for the driver who injured a pedestrian in a hit-and-run incident along Jalan Bunga Mawar, Taman Muda here at 8.19pm on Monday. Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Khairul Anuar Khalid said they received a report on the hit-and-run at 12.39 am, adding that preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was crossing from left to right of the road near the pedestrian crossing when they were hit. “A car of unidentified make and registrations came from the right of the victim and hit them while they were crossing. “The victim was thrown to the middle of the road and suffered severe injuries. They were taken to Ampang Hospital by ambulance for further treatment,” he said in a statement yesterday, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Three women got stabbed at Walden Galleria mall. According to police, three women were stabbed and suffered non-life-threatening injuries around 7:15 p.m. Friday in the mall's lower concourse.
