Age of Empires 2 (Ensemble Studios, 1999). The amount of time we spent on this one was almost unspeakable. The golden age of LAN setups, meaning 5 of us would pack up our computers and head over to a friend's house, setup the LAN and play nonstop throughout the weekend, with little sleep in between. Mind you, "packing up computers" meant tower (heavy), monitor (heavier!), keyboards, speakers, mouse, cables, the LAN connect pieces (what a pain when you forgot it!) - and then carry that on a bus, train or subway for 30-60 mins. And it was SO very worth it. The decision was then: Duke Nukem 3D, Age of Empires 2, Counter Strike... or CivNet if we felt a bit more like just chilling. Setting up the LAN and synching everything, ah, thank God we had some who were a bit more technically skilled than others. The 3 on 3 battles in Age of Empires were epic, rarely less than 4 hours per session. Most of the sounds live rent free in my head, especially the alarm bells. Good times! I miss them. (Note: Video shows the Definite Edition)

On August 16th, I'm hosting a summer BBQ for founders in SF alongside FuseAI, Corgi, Contrario (YC W25), Sprinto, and Rho. Our plan is to take some of the best founders from Y Combinator, HFØ, and a16z, and put them all in one backyard. There will be drinks, games, raffle prizes, and hip hop throwbacks playing all day. The deities (Thirumenigal) are so large, but look how it has fallen into ruin. ​Bagawan owns 19 acres of land. It’s not one or two acres; the deity has 19 acres of land. The deity’s name is Chidambareswarar. He is magnificent and beautiful, and the Nandi Lord is also very beautiful. Everything here consists of ancient deities. This banyan tree has grown over a 1,000 to 1,500-year-old temple. ​Please share this video as much as possible. Help restore this temple. We make a humble request to the HR&CE department to restore such ancient temples, restart regular worship, and hand them over to the local community. There are many devotees in the Kanchipuram region willing to properly maintain it and conduct prayers. We can find someone to perform the daily rituals. ​Please spread the word about this video. Moore, OK - Officer White pulled over a family who has been displaced from their home due to mold. They told them about their living situation and the officer came back to the car and said "Remember to lean on Him. Behind every dark cloud there is a silver lining." According to their fundraising page “On June 3rd, our lives were turned upside down. After coming home, we discovered animal droppings throughout our house. As we investigated further, we found a possum inside the home and a large, gaping hole in our kitchen floor.
