This dude not only resigned from his post and ended his political career, but had to issue a public apology and the agent got commended for her professional attitude and for her stand upholding the law.

I ticketed a judge every night for parking her car in a no parking zone on the street (right under the sign, in fact). She complained to the chief and told him to have me stop writing her tickets. I said I would when she stopped parking illegally, and I kept ticketing her until she stopped parking in the street. Ironically, she had a nice empty driveway where she should have been parking.

Power corrupts. Kudos to that officer for standing her ground.

He's taking the moral high ground and owning his mistake to save his public image. But if there wasn't a body cam involved, he would have obliterated her career and not thought twice about it.

That's sarasota candidate Martin hyde, he later made an apology. His behavior was pretty gross to be honest.
