i would advice to try unreal engine's datasmith to import .step from plasticity.

I do both and omg CAD is the goat for complex hardsurface. Problem after is doing the UVs and possibly optimizing that for texturing lmao

You could do that stuff in Houdini 15 years ago - in polygons if you want. I agree the tools and interface are really nice in plasticity. Are there UV tools?

unfortunately i think what you are saying is not true. plasticity is a cad modeling tool, there are no uv tools there.
