I dont know why people are frowning upon what President Trump said. The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church only. He is not the world leader of Christianity. In fact, Catholics separate themselves from Christians. I was a Catholic for 30 years, so I know a little bit about the church. The Pope has no jurisdiction over what our president does. President Trump does not owe him any special honor in not responding to his comments. He is a mere man exalted only by the doctrine of the Catholic Church. If the pastor of my church makes a comment about President Trump, he has every right to respond back. The Pope is not a diety and only has authority within the Catholic Church. No one else has any special obligations to him.
