This. I know because it put me in the hospital. Fortunately, I had the support at home to take all the time I needed to recover…and heal. The next level of dialogue is how you “let it go.” It’s important that we understand that ‘not addressing’ isn’t synonymous with ‘not digesting.’ Letting it slide is not the same as letting it go. That’s just not how the mind, body, and soul work.

@Dr_CMGreer I felt that. Grew up the only blk kid in many of my classes & u just pelted w/vice-riden bs. Probably why my mouth no good to this day. It's my defense mechanism from exactly what you speak. Always will be probably...being educated, black & just plain better than them:

@Dr_CMGreer I only worship people based on if they are Black and a woman. Every other characteristic is literally meaningless.

@Dr_CMGreer I love being Black. Wouldn’t have it any other way. But it’s exhausting.
