Janet wrote this yesterday in response to an article on LinkedIn - Quote: "The fight for Compensation has been slow, painful, and deeply traumatic. It has felt like reliving the injustice all over again—only this time, with the burden of proof placed on me to justify the suffering I’ve already endured. I was sent to Prison for a crime I did not commit. I was separated from my children, stripped of my job, and publicly shamed. That alone was a nightmare. But the aftermath has been just as cruel. I spent years learning to walk again—years of physical rehabilitation, emotional exhaustion, and mental anguish. The toll on my health has been immense. And yet, the process of seeking Compensation has become one of the hardest experiences I’ve ever faced. And I say that as someone who’s been to jail. Justice still feels out of reach. Every delay, every form, every legal hurdle is a reminder that the system still doesn’t fully see us. We were wronged. We were broken. And now we’re being asked to fight again—for recognition, for dignity, for what we’re owed. This isn’t just about money. It’s about Accountability. It’s about healing. And it’s about making sure no one else ever has to endure what we have and still do." I am so grateful for this journey and for every single one of you who has chosen to be here with us. It genuinely blows my mind that simply sharing our family life can connect with so many people. With everything happening in the world, with so much war, division, and racism, I hope that sharing our ordinary life as people from different backgrounds simply living, loving, and raising a family together could be a small reminder that we have more in common as humans than what divides us. This last year and a half has been quite a challenging and equally awesome time. I’ve faced a lot of backlash for what I sing about, which in some ways has set me back, but in many other ways has opened incredible new doors. I had no idea there were so many of us who felt the same way. We’re fed up with much of what’s going on in the world. The systems that don’t serve us but pretend to. The institutions that rob us and keep us dependent. But what has been so beautiful is discovering how many of us feel this together and genuinely want to create a future that uplifts and serves humanity, and each other. There are so many people working for good, working for the light. I hope the music and art I make can contribute to that in a great way. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for having my back. I have yours too.

This is the harrowing reality of what detransitioners face, says Chloe Cole ⭐️: “The moment that I detransitioned, I was human garbage to them. I was subhuman even. … They told me: ‘This is all your fault. Don't put this on us. You were the one who said yes, you were the one who wanted this. You were a complete idiot for not knowing that you weren't truly transgender. So don't come crying to us. And you should shut up about this because you might scare somebody out of getting the care that they really need. And you are a waste of resources. You are a waste of the love and support of your family. You didn't deserve the support of your doctors. You didn't deserve any of this. So stay quiet and stop being a problem.’ …There were people who were trying to compel me to retransition, people who were trying to tell me to kill myself, even just for the fact that I was going against the dogma. And I stayed low for a little bit. I apologized to the same people who were abusing me because I was a freshly traumatized 16 year old girl. I had been bullied in school before, but nobody had ever treated me this horribly over such a painful part of my life. But after a while of being painfully isolated. I started to really think the way that they are treating me is not deserved. I'm speaking to nothing but my experience, to the way that I feel and to reality. I'm going to speak up, regardless of whether they want me to or not. And I just knew that there had to be other detransitioners out there. And very quickly, I learned that they were in the thousands. And I'm sure that it's doubled, tripled, quadrupled over the years, the amount of us who are out there. We are never going to know the real numbers. …And some of the harassment, the hatred I faced over the years has gotten worse. I've been doxxed. I have had people assaulting me, chasing after me in government buildings, who have tried to hurt me, who have wished death upon me.”

All 100 Senators stood for protecting children in youth residential treatment facilities and I couldn't have dreamed of a more powerful moment to be able to impact the system that harmed me. I am still in shock that my lived-experience, among the powerful survivor community, has been able to impact meaningful progress and change for the next generation of survivors. We still need this bill to get passed in the U.S House of Representatives to be signed by President Biden but WE ARE SO CLOSE! I am so grateful for the leadership of Chuck Schumer who has supported my initiative from the beginning, and to my bill sponsors Senator Jeff Merkley and Senator John Cornyn who I have had the honor to get to know personally and who have been the most dedicated, efficient, and collaborative bipartisan lawmakers. I am so lucky to have met you and to have worked with you on this!

Good evening I'll never forget the honor of being given the opportunity by the leading opposition leader, BOBI WINE and other responsible staffs , to address the people of Ngora District! 🌟 It was a moment of immense pride, not just for me, but for the entire community. As I stood on that stage, I felt the weight of responsibility, knowing that I had a chance to inspire and uplift my fellow Ugandans. And I'm sure many of you felt proud too, seeing one of our own being given a platform to speak truth to power! 💪 It was a testament to the power of grassroots movement, and the fact that our voices are being heard loud and clear. A few years ago Jessi asked me if I would be interested in being her next co-host for the Bardown Beauties Podcast. People have always asked me how that came to be and this is how. I knew of Jessi when I started working with the Wild, and interacted with her initially when I was a guest on the podcast and then she and Alexis were guests on the show I hosted for the Wild at the time. But, the first summer I spent working for DaBeauty League was where I went from knowing Jessi as a professional and got to know Jessi on an incredibly personal level. This was the stuff we did that summer. We talked about life, we had fun, and she signed herself up to get some of her hair shaved off. This is one of the videos I’ve watched over and over these last few days because this is where it really all started and I’m forever grateful for it.

With the people as my strength and democracy as my path, I stepped forward today to file my nomination. Everything I have worked for has always been centred around the well-being of my people. It is their trust, their affection, and their support that continues to guide this journey to protect Bengal’s progress and to stand firm against the Bangla-Birodhi forces that seek to take it backwards. The love and blessings I received today were a powerful reminder of what we stand for; a Bengal that chooses unity, dignity, and development. In Bengal, every caste, every creed, every religion stands equal and that is our biggest strength and our identity. And today, this is a fight for democracy, for your identity, for your home, and for your rights, a fight we must win together. I urge every citizen of Bengal to support our Trinamool Congress candidates across the state and strengthen this collective resolve for continued progress.

I’m sick of everything being pinned on October 7 and of the endless excuses and blame placed on Palestinians. This is a video I made years before October 7, yet people still act shocked that it happened. What occurred was not sudden or random — it was the result of long-standing injustice. The responsibility lies with governments and mainstream media that ignored the reality on the ground, not with a people who have been denied their basic rights for decades. The government and the mainstream media must now do the right thing. They bear responsibility for what has unfolded, and they must hold Israel to account, confront colonial injustice, and stand for justice, dignity, and freedom for the Palestinian people.

“The last time that we were touring and stuff, I think touring is quite an isolating experience. And on top of that, when we started touring, it was 2021, so it was kind of like still depths of the pandemic. We were like one of the first tours to go back out. So I think that tour started in that way where it was like, I was really bubbled up even kind of within the tour. And then staying on that tour, we put an album out and it ended up being like two and a half years type time. It's just a long time to be in like a bubble where you're not really spending that much time like in the world around you, other than shows and hotels and stuff. And when I finished, I kind of went off and was spending a lot of time in Italy, and was kind of like having this quiet time, and I was just feeling a lot of my life as I was kind of like, craving like quiet and kind of like private spaces. I was just feeling myself kind of like shut out a lot of the world, “I think, and I think the last couple of years for me was about, you know, there's a lot of things that I think I got used to saying no to, like invites from friends and like maybe a weekend trip or like a birthday party or something. I think I just got used to, you know, if I have a week at home, I don't want to go somewhere else for three days. I just want to stay home, you know. And I think when I got to Italy and was kind of out in this quiet place, I felt like, okay, if I'm going to spend all this time out here and I'm going to keep saying no to everything, I'm just going to like shut myself off from the world. And while parts of that sound appealing, I also like, I love people and I love like being in the world, you know, so it was kind of, I think for me, like there's been both the thing of like learning to set boundaries and stuff is a large part of that has also been learning when not to set boundaries and when to open up. Being intentional with the things that you don't do and being intentional with the things that you do do. So, you know, as a message in the album sleeve, where I said like thanks to all the people who helped me know when to say no and when to say yes. Every song release is a big deal. This song has waited a long time to have its moment. I remember when Sara, Sam and I wrote Fragile (the same day we wrote another song called Madness), it held a special place in my soul as a human. So much so, that it kept disappearing from different projects as if to wait for the right moment to be introduced to the world. Being on Evergreen, song release number 3… it’s crazy how things work themselves out for the best when you trust the process. I always wanted to change the lyrics of the first line because I was afraid it wouldn’t make sense. But the more I worked with it, the more personal it became, and the more truth it carried. I would tell you what it means to me, but I want to hear how all of you connect with it first, so I’ll just say this… This one is for anyone in a season of life where the structure of you that you’ve built for the world needs to take a break and make space to care for the human inside. Whether you have those people, or that person in your life that loves and supports that human, or you’re looking forward to meeting that person someday, this is for you. You deserve to be the human you are, and you deserve to be loved and seen for that human. And if you haven’t felt it yet, I can’t wait for you to feel what it’s like to find someone who makes you feel safe enough to be Fragile.

The joy and competitive nature that they displayed, I wanted to be a part of that. And I say it all the time, going through rehab and being injured is lonely. It's not intentional. I couldn't practice for a while, I couldn't be in the game. When they were on the court, I was in the weight room, having to do my own thing. So you feel isolated, in a sense. “But I just expressed that being around as much as possible, going to games, being on the plane, really made me feel like I was still very much a part of the team, and how thankful to the group for just being themselves. I was thankful to the coaches that extended their days a lot by helping me during rehab and on the court and pick-up games [for] my conditioning.
