As a manager, I find players wage expectations have gone progressively higher and unrealistic. Comparisons like this where you quote the highest ( which might only be one player in the whole league) are really not helpful. Averages/minimum would be interesting to see from you.

If one person gets paid £400 at step 5, that's perhaps 1 person in several thousand. It's not what players should be expecting.
