a single wins the game and he's trying to hit it out of the park

Francisco Alvarez in the 9th inning of a one run game

Sosa still in his head

No. I’m a Padre fan. I’ve seen Manny do that many times. Too many times.

Javy Baez has hundreds of these

Dude just wanted a snack lol FTM

You clearly haven't seen the average Javy Baez AB
Great pitching. Knew he was chasing outside pitches and just kept throwing them!

This guy just wanted the game to end so he could go home.

My first thought: MLB should have this guy investigated for betting. My very next thought: MLB is scripted.

Why did I think this was a Bartolo Colon at bat 😂

😂😂😂😂😂 this top 5 funniest AB’s I’ve been I’ve seen. Buddy didn’t give AF!

He seems to revert back to bad habits every time you think he's maturing as a hitter. He has potential, but honestly, he's losing me. I know Duran is very good, but that at bat really was hard to watch. Swinging from his heels when all you need is a single is getting old.

Have you watched Javier Baez recently? This is a night occurrence against AAAA guys

Phillies are paying Nick Castellanos $100M over 5 years to do that all the time.

I’ve seen Volpe have worse

23 year old Alvarez looks like a 43 year old Bartolo Colon, assuming Alvarez is really only 23.

Yall don’t understand that CB is unreal.. if you had to hit 101mph fast ball this CB would make you look like that too! Play the sport one time will ya

Wow…

Duran could have thrown it anywhere in the direction of the home and he would have swung. Hilarious

The pitches started off the plate and were not even close. Hard to watch. Torrens would’ve put up a better fight.

He’s clearly just up there guessing fastball on every pitch hoping to get at least one because he can’t pick up the spin in the righty-righty matchup. And Duran smartly did not give him one

He and Mason Miller can just throw as many sliders as they want and make fools of everyone. Miller threw 9 sliders for an Immaculate Inning last week.

Like a lot of today's hitters, he needs to get Ted William's Science of Hitting and study this strike zone chart in the book.

He looks like he did before he was sent down.. a real shame because he was on fire when he came back..

Reminds me of Javy Baez.

That stance is so bad. Steps towards 3 rd every time. 😂😂😂

C'mon now show Duran some respect.

He was like the #12 hitter in a little league game.

i remember watching a former MVP when he would do that once a week

Low IQ at-bat. Three pitches nowhere near the strike zone

That clown couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Those 97 mph knuckle curve balls can fool you out of your shoes.
