see this is why i can't bat an eye at the gamers. being sent by mum to annoy dad when he's trying to watch the football is a peak little girl experience. as is being sent by dad to annoy mum while she's trying to read. having why the manager's a wanker explained to you as a 5-year-old who doesn't know jack shit about football is a top-tier experience. if having football as the "largely solitary dad interest that doesn't involve the wife or kids" can still be a memory fom my childhod, i don't see why it'd be any different with gaming.
