POV: Your takeaway container starts dissolving before your eyes 👀 If the packaging can't hold itself together, should it really be holding your food? Think twice before using it.

My students and I recycled these forms of plastics (styrofoam) into waterproof sealant in solving leakage problems in roofs. It can also be used as patch on surfaces. Thank you @GSTEP_GH

You started by talking how they react with heat, but in your experiment you used Petrol. How does Petrol replace heat?

Takeaway containers are bad for our environment and we need to find alternatives asap. But this your demo deɛɛ unless we put fuel in our foods, it doesn't make sense

Na sɛ yɛn num petrol wɔ take away pack mu.

Put acid liquid on the paper pack and bowl 🥣 u talking about , u have a point but thats not the best presentation, the foods are not petrol . Maybe so it with hot water

Let all support this initiative by @EPA_Ghana. @amabrowneklutse is really working 🇬🇭

Petrol de3 3fa beans ne Waakye ho b3n 🤣

takeaway containers are styrofoams made from petrochemicals derived from crude oil (petroleum)therefore if you pour petrol on any takeaway pack it will melt instantly,,,even our plastic packs are made from petroleum so nowhere cool

Do we put petroleum in the pack or food?? You should have use hot food for the illustration

you go through the comments and you see the ignorance of many oozing out so badly

@_esewoara Foolish. Is my food petrol?

This one dea you fail my bro. U can put it in a microwave without damaging it. I'm in support of the ban but not your ideas

My food no be petrol ⛽️

@thelouilasy You should wear a mask and use gloves, bro.…

You know this and you don’t know that the slippers you are wearing also contain petrochemicals which is harmful to you

@WisdomD95785 Yh I’ll make sure not to put petrol in my waakye next time 👍🏽

But do you actually add petrol to your food? Be like you lef your brain 🧠 for house before coming here. lol 😂

@Qripp This experiment is deceptive 😅😅 I thought you were using hot cooking oil

Sense no dey inside, why ebi super una dey take cook food?

Thank God we don’t put the fuel we drink in these containers. Wey nonfa this? 🙂↔️

Spread the news on polythene bags as well. Let us all encourage the use of paper bags and drop rubbers PLEASE

Very soon it will become if you sleep you will die 😔 everything on this earth has consequences

I guess they never heard of chemical reactions. Even in the body reactions of chemical nature occurs every darn second. this is just click bate.

But they don’t serve petroleum in packs .. only foods that are served in packs .. this one no really go worry health bia Masa .

Solvents. That's all I'll say.

Why not use hot water for it to make sense

Personally i think is ignorance and another way of marketing a product.

And who said we eat the plate ?

Why do people keep saying BAND instead of BAN?🤔

Petroleum is a raw, liquid fossil fuel found underground, while evaporated water is water that has turned into an invisible gas (vapor) in the air. They are completely different substances with separate chemical makeups, origins, and states of matter.

Good point but what are the alternatives? And how accessible is it to the average Ghanaian?

You think u Dey make sense? Is like putting rubber in a fire and say the rubber is not strong

Use hot food for demonstration not petrol 😊😊😊😊

So why implement it in the first place? Those that did that are they fools or didnt know?

Make them pour for wanna hands ?
