Less stuff arrived from china. But people wanted more stuff. Had the supply chain not been interrupted, china would have just shipped more stuff to absorb the stimulus. People hate the idea that the fed can print more money, but while supply capacity is elastic it won’t cause consumer inflation. It will cause asset inflation. Anything that can’t fit in a container is gonna get more expensive.
