SSD and CPU are more important when comparing fast boots

this stupid comparison is going to live in my head for the next several days

Amount of ram has little to no impact on boot times.

8GB - Single channel, half the potential bandwidth 16GB - Dual channel, twice as fast as single 24GB - one 8GB stick, one 16GB, dual channel but pegged at timings of slower stick- not as efficient as matching set 32GB - True dual channel, but larger ram have slower timings

Então o 16gb é o ideal

its SSD Speed not RAM.

More RAM does not improve boot times, if anything it can make boot times longer as there is more memory to train.

Dysk odpowiada za szybkość uruchomienia systemu nie Ramy.

So. . . .you think reading of the OS is a memory function and not a data storage transfere speed issue. And you documented and shared that with us. God bless you.

Inaccurate. Windows after a fresh boot doesn't consume 16GB of RAM. 32GB will be slightly lower with most motherboards. I say this as someone with 128GB in my PC. It's for RAM disks, VMs, etc.

Having an SSD over a standard hard drive, better cpu, is it ddr4, ddr5, ddr6? So many unnamed variables that ram alone does not answer. As well as bottleneck issues from the mobo.

You total moron sure, startup might be a tad slower with more RAM, but in actual use, a PC with 8 GB of RAM will be slower than one with 32 GB. Shitty video, shitty Twitter user, SSD and CPU are more important when comparing fast boots

RAM helps. The OS decides how much of it you actually get to use. Dell Vostro 1220, 2009, 4GB. Windows made it feel dead. ChromeOS Flex made it usable again. The upgrade was not more memory. It was deleting the software that ate it.

32go : Windows 10 optimisé 24go : Windows 11 optimisé 16go : Linux 8go : Windows 11 .

そこまでの時間で違いを出したいならSSDでは?RAMで差が出るのは、これのだいぶ後

RAM determines how many open aps you can have simultaneously, not how fast your PC boots. More RAM can actually slow down your boot time.

Sigh... Sorry to be rude. But I think people that lacked enough knowledge should stop sharing incorrect knowledge.

This has nothing to do with RAM is the SSD instead

Maybe try Linux

16GB finishing first in a “more RAM = faster boot” demo is elite accidental comedy 😂 The SSD and CPU are doing most of that work.

"Learn Computer" needs to learn computers.

Mí PC prendía más rápido cuando tenía 16gb ahora con 32 se tarda la hdp

@grok why did the 16gb boot up early?

I know damn well a 32GB is not faster than a 16GB. Hell, my PC is 128GB and it takes 90-120 seconds from start-up to windows screen

whoever set this up needs to be imprisoned

I have 16GB DDR4 and the PC is on and you still have your hand on the power

We forgot to account the for the added speed of RGB ♥️ 💚 💙

Now run 30tabs in Chrome, some video game, render, and see if it will lag. With 16Gb task manager won't respond

stupid indeed, we need the specs for the build as well. video is sensational, nothing less or nothing more.

Size of ram has nothing to do with boot. the ssd/ nvme and cpu with the speed of ram have to do with boot speed. Size of ram only comes in to play with its speed with the graphic settings on games. Size and speed of ram too small and slow timings with a good gpu =low frames

This is dumb as fuck

これ、意味ない ブート速度はSSDのほうが重要だから

This is probably thanks to POST, I'm surprised that the 8gb one didn't start up the fastest (maybe it was mismatched 4gb sticks??? i dunno, don't quote me on that)

I got a 32gb and its also gigabyte but when i initially power it on it never loads up the monitors i always have to turn it off by the power button then press it again for it to start what could be the problem?

blud has ram, get him
