This Liberal-NDP government sold a scam to Canadians in the name of a carbon tax. It doesn't lower emissions and leaves a majority of Canadians worse off financially. They will hike the carbon tax 23% on April 1st making everything more expensive. Instead, they should Spike the Hike. This carbon tax scam is like Trudeau, not worth the cost. Tax has been there on medical insurance even before GST was introduced. There was already a Service Tax on medical insurance, before the GST was introduced. This is not a new tax, it was already there in all the states. Those protesting here, did they discuss regarding the removal of this tax in their states? Did they write to the Finance Ministers of their respective states about it and asked them to raise it in the GST Council where states have 2/3rd part? No, but they are protesting here. I’ve got some bad news- the auto excise tax increase bill that Maura Healey proposed is making its way through the legislature. This is a bill that would allow cities and towns to triple the auto excise tax. That’s right- it would be a 300% increase. You would potentially be paying 7.5% on your auto excise tax as opposed to the current rate of 2.5%. That would mean the average working family in Massachusetts would be paying thousands more in excise tax when they buy a new car. Massachusetts families are already paying too much. The last thing we need is a higher excise tax. When I’m governor, we’ll cut taxes and cut utility bills to make the state more affordable for working families. #magov #mapoli
