Powerful scenes from #Bath’s #FreePalestine protest today. Hundreds attending a memorial procession, holding up placards saying 'remember their names' to honour the 13,000 innocent children slaughtered by Israel’s collective punishment of Palestinians in Gaza. Please honour them by amplifying their names: #WeAreNotNumbers 🇵🇸✊ Palestine Solidarity Campaign

@bathcampaigns @STWuk @AlnaouqA are these the violent extremists we keep hearing about? they look like kind caring people to me who think that killing innocent children is wrong. Great turnout

@bathcampaigns @STWuk @AlnaouqA Hamas have admitted that 6000 of their terrorists have been liquidated. Happily they underestimate that number.

It would take six days to read the names of almost 70,000 Gazans massacred by Israel in the last 2 years. They are not numbers. In Leicester, we read their names to remember and honour every innocent life. The world has utterly failed the people of Palestine.

Palestinians forcibly displaced by Israel’s war on Gaza are holding onto keys from their damaged or destroyed homes as a symbol of one day returning to their land. For many, it’s a tradition that their grandparents started during the Nakba in 1948 ⤵️

This young woman’s last speech went viral with more than a million views. Her speech in #Bath today is even more incredible: “Shame on everyone who stole their childhood. The weapons manufacturers, right here in the UK, who profit off their pain. The media who cloak each killing in the passive tense denying them respect even in death. The politicians who drop their kids at school then go to Parliament and debate whether 13,000 Palestinian children’s lives really warrant a ceasefire. Is really a genocide. Just this week the UK abstained from the UN ceasefire vote while my home of the United States single-handedly vetoed it. The selfishness, the cowardice, the racism, make us all furious at our representatives.” Everyone should hear her powerful words. I hope Stop the War Coalition and Palestine Solidarity Campaign will invite her to speak at one of their London rallies soon! #FreePalestine #WeAreNotNumbers ✊🇵🇸 Video credit to Alf Up A Tree 🙏

Earlier today, I had the honour of inaugurating a 300-book library in Gudma village, dedicated to the tribal children there. Many of you have supported this mission of Earth Focus ( either by attending workshops or by subscribing to my newsletter. I am deeply grateful to each of you. A special thanks to IAHV for their generous donation of the books.

Remembering those who gave their lives for Ukraine is part of our lives. Today is the Day of Remembrance for Ukraine’s fallen defenders – a day that reminds us of the huge price of freedom. But remembrance lives through many more ways – in the way we speak their names, honour them in our cities, and pass their stories on to others. We remember. And we will never forget.

In Washington, DC, thousands gathered to unveil a massive memorial displaying the names of Palestinians killed by Israel since October 2023. 🇵🇸 Behind every name is a life, a family, a story, and a loss that cannot be reduced to a number. May their memories never be erased, and may justice and peace prevail. 🤲🏽🕊️

❌ #GenocideJoe, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton can’t go anywhere without being reminded of the trail of blood they leave in their wake. Activists disrupted the program tonight at Radio City Music Hall, meant to break campaign fundraising records. Meanwhile, the genocide of Palestinians continues to be funded and supported by the US establishment. According to a Gallup poll released yesterday, a majority of Americans disapprove of Israel’s actions in Gaza. 🇵🇸✊The people of the world stand with Palestine and demand an end to the genocide, an end to the occupation, and a liberated Palestine from the river to the sea! #shutitdown4palestine

In the Irish town of Nenagh, solidarity with Palestine is part of everyday life. For 1,000 days, this community has refused to look away. They have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Gaza through extraordinary grassroots efforts. Today, grandparents, parents, and children gathered together to mark this painful milestone and renew their commitment to justice. Their compassion, perseverance, and belief that ordinary people can make a difference are a powerful reminder that solidarity knows no borders.

Police have arrested at least 92 people after supporters of Palestine Action mounted a protest in central London today. The group was banned by the government under terrorism laws last year, but that decision was ruled illegal by the High Court in February. The ban has remained in place, however, to allow the government to appeal against that verdict. Protesters, many of them older people, were carried off by officers after holding written placards declaring their support for the organisation.

The scenes of joy lighting up the faces of children in Gaza as they receive winter clothing ahead of the cold season could vanish if we do not stand by them. 💔🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 We do not want these smiles to fade due to a lack of donations. Please donate the cost of a shirt or a pair of trousers the kind you might buy for your own child and help provide winter clothing for a child in Gaza. Do not ignore their suffering; please donate and share this appeal, for your contribution can make a world of difference. ❤️

The student movement for a liberated Palestine isn’t going anywhere! And as they stand with their Palestinian peers, Jewish students are bravely demonstrating that their Judaism is inseparable from their in solidarity with the Palestinian people. We stand with them. To honor the Jewish festival of Sukkot, hundreds of JVP students and other Jewish student groups across the country erected Gaza Solidarity Sukkahs on their campuses. Inside the beautifully decorated, hand-made Sukkahs, Jewish students gathered in prayer and protest as the Israeli government continues to invoke Judaism to fuel its genocide.🧵

Today, the world commemorates Holocaust Memorial Day and marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Six million Jewish men, women and children were murdered by the Nazis because they were Jews. We went out in London to ask people if they would take some time out of their day to learn about some of the victims of the Holocaust and light a candle in honour of their memory.

Heavy rains from storm Byron flooded streets and drenched tent encampments in Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians are trying to seek shelter. In western Gaza City, near the port, emergency crews struggled to drain the floods as displaced Palestinians faced the biting cold and rain with little to protect them and water entering their tents. 🎥 Footage of the scenes was captured by Drop Site’s عبد القادر صباح

Miriam Margolyes OBE has joined our campaign calling on the Australian Government to sanction Israel. Every day more and more Jewish people are speaking out against Israel’s abominations in Gaza. We are seeing pictures of starving children, parents holding the remains of their deceased babies, and news of Israel shooting and killing Palestinians desperately seeking aid — and we are saying loudly that these genocidal actions are not in our names. The world is watching, and Anthony Albanese has a stark choice. Either take concrete action to show that we oppose Israel’s starvation and slaughter of Palestinians who have nowhere else to go, or be remembered in history as a nation which was complicit in a genocide. #jewishcouncilofaustralia #miriammargolyes #sanctionisrael Senator Penny Wong
