The real reason they were expelled was they couldn’t follow the rules of debate and decorum as a democracy! They wanted to be attention grabbers and make the news so that what they are getting now!

MYTH: What we are watching unfold today is NOT normal. FACT: It IS our new normal. Here’s what Marc Elias needs you to understand: Trump is acting normal — and it's critical to accept this transformation. It's the only way for our democracy to survive.

.Rep. Justin Jones: "“We still have Democrats were acting like this is early 2000 politics. That world of normalcy is gone. This is a war for the future of our democracy. And the South is the front line in that battle… I would say to the governors and to the lawmakers in those [blue] states that this is a moment to put our morals above our manners. What is moral is to act, not just for us, but for generations who are counting on us, what we do in this moment. I think we're going to be judged not by what we do, but by what we don't do.”

Rep. Justin Pearson: "No one should be wanting to operate as though this is not happening, as though we are not living in a gun violence epidemic in the state of Tennessee. And the solution that is being offered is actually to reduce the First Amendment rights of people."

Look at what the president is doing: Attacking the judiciary. Attacking free press. Using fear to intimidate. Trying to normalize the U.S. military in our streets. This is not normal. This is not American. These are attacks on the very pillars of our democracy.

Political violence is unacceptable, and we will not tolerate it – not now, not ever. Ideas are won and lost at the ballot box. That is the promise of our democracy, and it is an ideal we need to defend.

This is not what humans look like. Humans don't sound like this. Humans are not supposed to wish the death of others as an ideology. This is what a sick religion looks like. And this is it as we see a danger for all of humanity, not just for Israel. ~ 🇮🇱 daniel @daniel02667

Kinzinger: In 250 years of American history, going through ups and downs, it leads us to this finite moment right here. All of these things have been put on different generations. All we are being asked to do is stand up and say we will not back down in defense of our democracy. All we are being asked to do is stand up for veterans and say they are more important than tech oligarchs, they are more important than people who want to use the government to make a billion dollars, veterans are the backbone of this country. That's why this is important because ladies and gentlemen, this is not left versus right, this is not even Republican versus Democrat, this is freedom and democracy and support for our veterans against those who don't appreciate it and those who would seek authoritarianism in our country and we will say no to that and loudly
