Pape is right that deterrence failed. The fix is boots on the ground in Tehran. Afterwards a managed transition to permanently remove the proxies in Yemen and Lebanon. Calling Iran the hardest conflict since WW2 understates Jewish continuity. Israel must remain SECURELY Jewish.
