#mewnich #beonnnie MEWNICH : Let's talk about EmiBonnie. This year, I feel like... oh, this year, I got to be in the same songs as Bonnie A LOT! Both the vocal songs, the uke stage, and also Genie. So I feel like I've become much closer to Bonnie. I don't know if Bonnie also feels closer to me too, but I definitely feel a lot closer to her. And honestly, like, as many people already know, during the time we were practicing for the BB concert, Bonnie had so much work. Work was just piling up on her heavily, and she was in so many dance units, she was in Meri too. So... everyone was trying to help Bonnie as much as we could. MEWNICH : For example, in the uke song, I memorized her parts for her. Like, I literally guided her through the movements. Meaning, "It's okay, come with me, I'll tell you what to do. I'll guide you and point out where you need to go for the next part, Bonnie" Because I felt like I wanted to help her as much as possible. She might not have had as much time as the others, but she had to survive and make it through this with us. And luckily, in that uke song, she was standing next to me quite often, right? So I told the choreographers, "It's okay, Teacher. You can continue with the choreo and the blocking. I'll help memorize Bonnie's parts." So the moment she arrived, I could guide her through the steps right away, and I would constantly keep telling her what to do. Honestly, I'm really glad that I could be a part of helping Bonnie get through this show. And we've gotten to talk to each other so much more.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT WAS HER CRIME??? Meet 6 year old Prachi from Maharashtra’s Kerur. Like any other little child, Prachi probably enjoyed going on trips with her father. Last week she went to Nizamabad in Telangana with her father Panduranga, an aspiring village sarpanch. Prachi was later found dead in Bodhan canal by the Telangana police. Her biggest mistake, she is the unwanted child born to a monstrous father!!! Panduranga has three children and was upset because he cannot contest in the upcoming village sarpanch elections in Maharashtra due to the “two children policy”…. he will be disqualified because of the rule. He tried to give away Prachi for adoption, even tried to manipulate her birth records and when everything failed, he took her on a trip to the adjacent Nizamabad district in Telangana, he threw her in a canal and went back as if nothing happened. Prachi was later discovered floating in the canal. Police were shocked to find that a father did this to his daughter just to contest in an election. Prachi was Panduranga’s second child. He has an elder son and a younger child (gender is not revealed but I am assuming another son). This wannabe politician decided to murder his own daughter because she is a daughter. And yet we call this the land of Devis and Devathas!!! The entire nation’s morality hangs on the shoulders of women of this nation where they are casually killed for a variety of reasons including an election rule🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 PS: Knowing this country, Panduranga may get a ticket, win the election and also walk out Scot-free from the murder of his daughter.

When I saw the mask "Tribes of the Calf" from Kanbas I knew I had to make it into reality. The jewelry and gold really made it stand out for me. Since Sam Spratt's The Masquerade was revealed, I have been spending time sculpting and dissecting the mask to recreate it in 3D as faithfully as possible. I delved into the creation of this mask for many reasons. I love a good challenge and this mask surely was one for me. Creating something in 3D from a 2D image is not easy, and especially when the source has generative nature, some stuff is hard to interpret, but I tried my best to make sure the visual integrity of the mask is as close to the original as possible. Splitting the whole mask into parts, filling the missing pieces so I can build the textures was quite a lot of work. I tried to present the mask in my own style with a slightly different colorway to adapt to the mask itself. Please enjoy this short animation, and turn on sound🔊 This piece is my statement that I am here to stay. That I have a voice that often feels being lost in the void. That I have been creating and posting digital art for over 20 years now and will continue until I'm gone. I have a story to tell and I want to be heard. The space we have here is small, and is shrinking day by day. It doesn't have to be like that. We need to support each other and push ourselves and people here, otherwise we are all doomed. As Kanbas has put in their observation of the mask: "Inspirational. Emotional. Natural." This is what our space can be, and this is me making a statement with this homage. I will share a 4k still below as well as a short video showing the 3D GLB interactive model together with a yt link to the 4k video since compression here is pretty bad.

A few years ago Jessi asked me if I would be interested in being her next co-host for the Bardown Beauties Podcast. People have always asked me how that came to be and this is how. I knew of Jessi when I started working with the Wild, and interacted with her initially when I was a guest on the podcast and then she and Alexis were guests on the show I hosted for the Wild at the time. But, the first summer I spent working for DaBeauty League was where I went from knowing Jessi as a professional and got to know Jessi on an incredibly personal level. This was the stuff we did that summer. We talked about life, we had fun, and she signed herself up to get some of her hair shaved off. This is one of the videos I’ve watched over and over these last few days because this is where it really all started and I’m forever grateful for it.
