I'm sure it's up to preference but do riggers prefer this kind of thing on 1 layer or multiple layers? What makes it easier? (as an artist and for future reference!)

Entirely depends on the rig and how much movement is needed, I'm OK with it being on one layer when it's a small detail like this, but if it's a large feature separated would be preferred
