We’ve been busy lately! Busy sourcing and setting up tents in encampments filled with makeshift shelters that wouldn’t remain standing through the next storm. Over the last two weeks, The Sameer Project purchased 40 large waterproof tents and set up 20 so far for families in the most dire conditions. The pure joy you see on the face of the children is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Celebrating a simple tent. While we do everything we can to provide these moments of relief, it’s of course necessary to remember that these families have lost absolutely everything and have been displaced countless times. We will keep screaming for a ceasefire so that this nightmare ends. And keep assisting families that need our support! Contribute to our South: Tents, Cash Aid, and Medical campaign so that we can continue to provide shelter and comfort for displaced families:

🚨WHAT THE HELL?!!!!! A group of six "teens" SHOT FIREWORKS INTO A CROWD OF FAMILIES outside of DC at a "family friendly" movie night. They aimed the fireworks directly at CHILDREN!!!! BLANKETS WERE CAIGHT ON FIRE and the crowd, including small children began RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES!!! One brave man stepped in, grabbed a firework before it exploded, and HURLED it away from children. Not a SINGLE ARREST has been made and police have not released any descriptions of the "teens" who did this... WE DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP LIVING THIS WAY!!!!!!

Parents in Tena Estate, Umoja have raised concerns about a local automotive training centre, Top Gear Driving School, whose instructors are said to be conducting lessons at a field near a residential area where children often play. There are calls for immediate intervention by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to hold the institution accountable for such blatant disregard for public safety. A video sent to us by one concerned resident shows a truck being driven across a playing field while children run around and play football in the same area.

This video is heartbreaking Wallahi I’m crying after watching it 😭💔and it deserves national attention. These women in Maraba, Kaduna, are protesting because bandits have been entering their homes and abducting their children. Some of the victims are very young children, including breastfeeding babies taken away from their mothers. Yet, according to the families, they have received little or no meaningful action from the government. To all the Senator Uba Sani the governor of Kaduna State PR bots constantly promoting politicians online, why aren’t you sharing this? Why can’t you use the same energy to amplify the cries of these mothers and help the victims? You are quick to praise politicians, but silent when innocent children are abducted and families are left in pain. This video must go viral until Governor Senator Uba Sani and the relevant authorities see it and act. These mothers deserve answers. These children deserve to come home.

Izzo story time… Went to a practice in 2021 with Tim Bograkos and his son, Ty… Halfway thru practice, Izzo asks Ty if he has ever seen his dad’s game winner vs Kentucky… Ty had not, so Iz sent a video guy to go to the vault to find the game. 20 minutes later, they stopped practice, and I was able to record an all-time father son moment as Ty and his dad relived that moment in front of the current team at that time while Izzo explained the classic “sixth option” story, Practice time is PRECIOUS so this was no small deed. But people are also precious and this was one of those moments where you see the person behind all the wins. Was very thoughtful and telling about how he feels about PEOPLE!
