A large amount of air pollution is coming because of the street dust, as our sewage lines and roads are not getting cleaned. Every monsoon there is waterlogging because PWD used to always have a three-month plan to work on the drainage cleaning, but it's not happening now. Delhi Govt's total budget in this fiscal year was ₹76,000 crore, while ₹39,000 crore is our committed budget, which goes to salaries and maintenance. So what is left is ₹37,000 crore for maintenance, new projects, and capex. Out of the ₹37,000 crore, much of it is committed towards freebies. Also, all states have far better tax collection rates today compared to earlier, except for Delhi. If the tax rate increase between 2004-14 was maintained between 2014-24, we would have collected ₹1,04,000 crore more in tax. So, we are faltering on the subsidy front and the tax collection front. He gets this for being “disabled” Even though he’s “disabled” and gets paid $4,646 per month tax free, he also works doing roofing and makes $1,000 per week How does a disabled person work on roofs…. The system is broken I’ve verified this is allowed and legal, there is no work restriction or income limit for him to get his money And technically he can be on disability for something like PTSD which would mean he can do physically demanding work like working on rooftops This is very different from other programs like social security where if your are disabled you can’t earn other income like this

Khawab ho tum ya koi Haqiqat ——- This is one of the sweetest comeback stories in Hindi film music. "Khwab Ho Tum Ya Koi Haqeeqat" from Teen Deviyan, 1965, was the song that patched up S.D. Burman and Kishore Kumar. They had been close — Burman Dada is actually the man who discovered Kishore the singer in the 50s in films like Munimji, Taxi Driver, Nau Do Gyarah, Paying Guest. But in 1958 after Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, they had a fallout and Dada stopped calling him. For almost 7 years Kishore barely sang for Burman. He was going through flops, income tax troubles. In 1965, Dada decided to forgive. He had two Dev Anand films Guide and Teen Deviyan. For both he called Kishore back. In one studio week he made him sing "Gaata Rahe Mera Dil" for Guide and "Khwab Ho Tum" for Teen Deviyan. Both became historic and relaunched Kishore as Dev Anand's voice. The song itself was pure SD Burman magic. Majrooh Sultanpuri wrote those dreamlike lines — "Subah pe jis tarah shaam ka ho guman" that evening mistaken for morning, like a face half seen in hair. Dada kept the orchestration whisper-soft, just guitars, brushed drums and violins, so Kishore could almost speak the song, not sing it loudly. That's why it feels so intimate. Little trivia inside trivia R.D. Burman was the assistant on this film. He was sitting behind his father in the recording. Same year Pancham would get his first big hits with Teesra Kaun and Teesri Manzil. Burman and Kishore Kumar. They had been close — Burman Dada is actually the man who discovered Kishore the singer in the 50s in films like Munimji, Taxi Driver, Nau Do Gyarah, Paying Guest. But in 1958 after Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, they had a fallout and Dada stopped calling him. For almost 7 years Kishore barely sang for Burman. He was going through flops, income tax troubles. In 1965, Dada decided to forgive. He had two Dev Anand films Guide and Teen Deviyan. For both he called Kishore back. In one studio week he made him sing "Gaata Rahe Mera Dil" for Guide and "Khwab Ho Tum" for Teen Deviyan. Both became historic and relaunched Kishore as Dev Anand's voice. The song itself was pure SD Burman magic. Majrooh Sultanpuri wrote those dreamlike lines — "Subah pe jis tarah shaam ka ho guman" that evening mistaken for morning, like a face half seen in hair. Dada kept the orchestration whisper-soft, just guitars, brushed drums and violins, so Kishore could almost speak the song, not sing it loudly. That's why it feels so intimate.
