Brooklyn-based FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller was on his way to play golf with his brothers after finishing his shift for the day. Over his scanner, he heard that a plane had hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Stephen immediately called his wife, asked her to tell his brothers that he would catch up with them later, and went to retrieve his gear. Unable to use his vehicle to get to the Twin Towers, with 60 pounds of equipment on his back, he ran through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel to the scene. Stephen lost his life in ultimate sacrifice to his country and fellow citizens. His memory will forever live on.

💔 🚨 Barry has a cancerous mass on his back leg. He’s going into surgery soon. I felt a lump by his knee and I was hoping it was his knee cap. His kneecap did move, but it’s on the inside of his leg now. We did an aspiration biopsy and we can’t deny the malignant cells. It will take about two weeks for a pathology report. His spina bifida (the brain damage) makes the surgery very high risk. Please send all of your energy to Dr Mike’s healing hands.

JUST IN: Elderly blind Chicago man reunited with his service dog 'Bam Bam' after the dog was stolen from him by people who sounded like 'teens.' In June, Angel Santiago said he was in his yard with his 14-year-old dachshund when multiple individuals took him. Santiago spent the last two months walking up to seven miles a day searching for his dog and handing out flyers. The dog has now been found and appears to be healthy, according to ABC 7. Praise God.

Today we contemplate the incomprehensible sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The God of all the universe willingly accepted being nailed to a cross so that we would have access to eternity with Him. Gabe Poirot saw Jesus during his 18 days in a coma, and his encounter beautifully sums up what Good Friday is all about. $Soviet circus acrobat, Valentin Dikul, performed his power juggling act in 1985. The sphere balls weighed 88 lbs (40 kg) each. At age 14, Dikul was seriously injured during a gymnastic performance when a steel support crossbeam broke, causing him to fall 43 ft (13 meters) and fracture his spine and suffer a traumatic brain injury. As part of his recovery process, Dikul began to train 5 to 6 hours a day, stretching rubber bands, lifting heavy objects, and doing push-ups. However, he was unable to even move his legs. Doctors told him that there was no hope that he would be able to walk again, but Dikul persisted by continuing to work out every day until he would pass out from exhaustion. As he began to develop more muscles on his chest, body, and arms, Dikul would incrementally increase the weights. Once he regained his upper body strength, he began to tie ropes to his feet and move them using a pulley system. At first, he would move them just by pulling the ropes with his hands, then he began using counterweight loads. After 8 months, Dikul was discharged from the hospital. His story was told in the media, and he became bombarded with letters asking for help. Dikul spent 3 to 4 hours a day responding to people and would send them instructions on his method of rehabilitation. In 1988, Dikul opened up a rehabilitation center to help people with spinal injuries. He is still heading it to this day and is alive and well.$

$Our thanksgiving mission, a shopkeeper called us to report a cat in bad conditions near the road, we asked him to try to catch him while waiting for our arrival to protect him from the cars . as soon as he was brought to the clinic we were shocked by the number of old fractures and some badly healed, old and new wounds. who knows what history he had, what suffering he underwent. now he is in a massive treatment room and is fed with liquid food. pray for the healing of his body and soul and make a donation on this day, for him and all the cats to be treated in Syria.$
