Turning the other cheek is about your reaction to the harm. When you are slapped across the cheek it burns, it reddens, it swells and it is hurt. If you turn the cheek it is calm, it is cool and it can be used as your Spirit to respond in Spirit not spite. Forgiveness is Salvation. It’s the forgiveness of God for all the times you reacted or acted in spite. You receive the gift of Salvation for the forgiveness of God. Not man.
