If we want to take the “Sum of All Fears” connection a step further: Trump has featured “Nessun Dorma” at his events many times, which is the same song at the end of the movie. The movie is about a terrorist organization trying to start WW3 between the US and Russia, by committing a terrorist attack on US soil with a plutonium bomb sold on the black market. In the movie, the nuclear dust post-detonation is examined, and the origin of radioactive material from the bomb is traced, which revealed it was US plutonium taken from a downed Israeli jet, in Syria, decades before. This leads to the US/Russia catching the traitors who committed the attack, and narrowly avoiding full-scale nuclear war with each other. There are a lot of parallels between this movie, and reality. Trump likes to play this song a lot, mostly at the end of big events, and he really wants that nuclear dust from Iran. It’s almost like Trump was trying to tell us something this whole time.

There were tons of RTS games in the 90s. Not all of them were great, but KKnD (Krush, Kill 'n' Destroy) was a real standout in 1997. Made by Beam Software, a small Australian studio, it had a cool Mad Max vibe, like a rough, post-nuclear wasteland world. It didn’t have the big fame of Command & Conquer, but it was still excellent, especially for a game made by a smaller team with a tiny budget compared to a giant like Westwood Studios/EA at the time. A sequel came out in 1998, but I always liked the original KKnD better. By that time, the RTS genre was probably getting a bit oversaturated.

Physicist Hans-Benjamin Braun claims the December 15–16, 2024 explosion in Tartus, Syria may have been caused by a very small nuclear device of about 0.3 kilotons. If this is true, it would mean we are already in a limited nuclear strikes scenario, with the next stage being World War III and full nuclear war before the geophysical event. This is the alleged nuclear explosion. Keep in mind that if this was a 0.3 kiloton bomb, it would be about 50 times weaker than the Hiroshima bomb.
