So he was really a "mahatma" only for the brits 😂 they were "grateful" to him for ensuring Indians adopted non-violence as their strategy. Or in other words, he was their usedul idiot.

I do not attribute large weight to BR's opinions... mostly because his writing is full of assertions and self serving conclusions that are not supported by data. His own life is contradiction to many of his politico-social positions

The official British reason is, post world war 2, Britain was considerably damaged and weakened by German bombings. Revolt in India was growing stronger. Indian economy had weakened after 200 years of loot. There were British agents to continue ruling India post independence.

Netaji S.C Bose always in our heart ❤️

There wr many causes, primarily, British left India due to their devastated economy after ww2. They thought that it wud b impossible to govern a huge country like India wd rising nationalism. They took alternative rout, put a slave dynasty. UK & US successfully ran it till 2014.

Neither. They left because post WW2, they were weakened considerably and did not have the military capability to hold on to India.

Did he also say this?

The British left, because they no longer could afford to maintain a colony, as it was drained of all wealth. Britain too was drained of all wealth after the WW2.

इसके बावजूद भी नेताजी सुभाष चन्द्र बोस के रहस्य को सरकार लटकाए हुए है।

What about Savarkar??? Gandhi aur Bose ek hi system ae the..... Congress

I wonder why India’s first education minister, Maulana Azad did not include this fact in our history books.

Bose was a collaborator with Hitler. Stop glorifying him.

Bookmarks karlo bahut se gandhi hai jo nahi manegey

Exactly 💯

@Pushpendraamu Jai Hind...True Mahanayak

He talks abt 2 things. The other seems to the Naval Mutiny of 1946, that they somehow managed to subdue. If the British army's Indian Soldiers had taken such a step the 3000 odd British soldiers posted here would've become sitting ducks. A few more things contributed as well.

Even Atlee himself accepted that later in his life.

Sorry sir! Its wrong.

Yes

Acha ji .. Aisa bhi hua tha 🤔 @INCIndia @nytimes @washingtonpost @CNN Is this true @BBC

Roosevelt deserves credit as well. He & Churchill signed a historic pact on Aug 14, 41, the Atlantic Charter. The declaration upheld right of locals to choose their govt. After the war Churchill tried ditch India. But a bankrupt UK begged US loans. So Roosevelt forced his hand.
