Now there's a potential characteristic impedance issue.

Impedance, capacitance and inductance of that path changed and no one cares??

The fucking Gemini watermark, lol

me trying this at home: 75% hope, 25% “did i just break it more?”

Lol that tiny wire is like linking 2 rivers using a pvc pipe.

Won’t it just burn out since the wire is so thin or nah

It's a pretty shit repair tbh. Small minds are easily impressed....

Imo, those copper wires used should have been a tad thicker. A 0.3mm perhaps.

Looks good and all....but didn't they just wire those 1 to 1? You can't tell me those traces weren't routed that way in the first place. What was the reason for this 'repair'? Just to show off? OK. I guess that's pretty cool too. Gotta have a way to demo your capabilities

Wow they really fixed it!

Well and he made a mistake.... He should remove soldermask further down the traces and close down where the damage is to avoid contacts lifting.

Meanwhile, I'm considering a new remote control....

I’d love to learn how to do that and troubleshoot and replace micro components on boards.

With a $10 AMZ plastic scope anyone with a weeks experience can actually do that. Reballing IC's, or real fine pitch work is actually difficult. Repair looks like purposeful damage with one of those mutli-step drill bits. This is about the best one can expect from India.

I would fix using thermobond frames would look factory and oem

He forgot about this Via, now is about 30% its nominal connection area...

Used to do this type of work. On a ship, in the middle of the ocean. No fancy UV epoxy though, had an oven to help things along there. Somehow didn't get too seasick.

What kind of flux is this that doesn't evaporate when it comes into contact with the soldering iron?

if this is Ai, I am actually worried about the future of content on the internet. it's got the star to tell us but that seemed like a lot of detail that isn't expected kind of information an Ai would usually steal.

@grok why do we act like fixing things is rocket science?

That is a HORRIBLE repair job 😂😂😂 Would NEVER pass mil-spec 2M standards Plus, the “replacement runs” are exponentially smaller than the original runs. So much for noise and current specs… 😂🤷♂️☢️

One end didn't wet - bad solder.

THIS IS CALLED MODERN ART

Kudos if real

I was (1980s) a certified instructor for the navy micro miniature repair. It’s cool stuff

Why is this thing so important thou

That achieves absolutely nothing because the wires are too thin.

That's a layup even for a mediocre tech..

It won't work

My stepdad while he was alive was an RF engineer and prototyper I grew up watching him, build circuit boards, prototype circuit boards for the military and industry under a 20 X microscope

Would have been so much cheaper to buy a replacement board, it's not worth it.

Fix: 100 Buy a New one: 5
