A hard rescue today as I got a message from a kind local lady who needed help with an old blind dog. The poor boy was most likely dumped in the area because the “end was close for him”. He was confused on the beach and stuck. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer were it not for their bravery. His vet results were about as bad as it gets. His eyes might be glaucoma as he can’t see a thing and his kidneys and liver are bad as well as severe anemia. His anemia is so bad we can’t even put him on a drip. While I was driving him around I just had to keep talking to him as his head would keep dropping. His body is so weak. He is also very hard to handle as he lashes out with bites as he can’t see what is going on around him. He is terrified. The ladies called him Rocky as they are hoping he will make a comeback. It won’t be easy at all but he did start eating, drinking and resting well this evening. We will all have to keep everything crossed for this lovely boy. Whatever happens he isn’t on his own and he has the best medical care now. Rocky even let me pet his head tonight. I think he understands he is safe.

7’0” power forward Tammar Brown is available for 2025. We are either going high major, mid major, Juco, or NAIA. We will play in the Juco All American showcase in July. Tammar also has overseas interest as well so we decided to keep all options open. Tammar is fundamentally sound and a very good athlete. Skilled both on the perimeter and around the rim. He rebounds, block shots, and finishes as well as most 7’0 bigs. I want him to move more and flash more but obviously that depends on the next team he plays for. Tammar only has 2 years of playing experience so we are still addressing instinctual things most big men might lack especially with defensive help and movement/spacing on the offensive end. Yesterday, after failing to find the man who had built a structure on top of a tree along Jogoo Road, I went back today and was glad to find him. I engaged with him and he shared with me his story, explaining why he had chosen the tree as his home. He shared his desire: if only he could get a mkokoteni, he would use it to transport goods for pay and earn a decent living enough to rent a house rather than continue staying on the tree. With the little I had, I purchased a mkokoteni for him. In addition, I will ensure he secures a rental house with four months’ rent fully paid, giving him a fresh start and a safe place to call home. I was deeply moved to see him smile, and it reminded me how powerful even a small act of kindness can be. If you are out there and have the ability to help someone in need, please do it could change a life.

The hardest of decisions has been made. Tomorrow afternoon, our vet, who has been with us every step of this journey, will come to our home and help Ralph cross. Despite eating copious amounts of food, he lost 500kg in 3 weeks, down from 3kg to 2.5kg. His temperature is too low as he is too weak to regulate his body and he is showing signs of muscle weakness. Although no indicator for pain (we checked, twice), he is literally withering away and prolonging this will be completely and utterly for us, not for him and you all know by now, we would never, ever do that to our kids. He is home, on top of our warm bed and he will be so spoiled the next 24 hours. He will be hugged so much and will be told we love him until the moment he slips away in our arms Simon and I are devastated this is happening a 3rd time this year and this has been my fear for many, many years. Thank you all for being there for us and keep Ralph in your thoughts tomorrow as he starts his journey over the rainbow bridge.

Hank the Tank has fully healed now. He’s is the friendliest and biggest goofball I’ve ever met. All the humans and especially the other dogs adore him. I need to find him a home as nobody deserves it more… ⚽️ His favorite things are running, playing and treats. ✈️ He’s too big to fly anywhere at 32kg and his height 🇹🇭 He is looking for a home in Thailand. I’d pay for his transport anywhere ✂️ Fully healthy and getting sterilized this week 📆 He’s about 5-6 years old 😢 When we fixed him and told his owners they said “keep him” I spend a lot of time with dogs. Hank is the one I’d pick if I had a choice. He’s so fun and also loving and gentle. He is the centre of everything that is going on. He’d love to be in a home and even though he is the biggest softie I know his big face will scare people off and protect you!! Any help finding Hank a home would be much appreciated. 🥰🙏

Beyond fuming re this proposed #PayPerMile tax theft 🤬🤬 Carers will stop helping the elderly Businesses will fold under yet more costs School buses will be extortionate Suppliers will increase costs for everyone etc etc Those retired will stay at home more and get more depressed. The young trying to get jobs will stay at home more and get depressed So no businesses All workers depressed at home getting fatter and lazier No opportunity No hope And we'll all have to ask for money from the government and they won't have any coming in as NOBODY WILL BE ABLE TO EARN A LIVING!!!!! What about ambulances and police cars ... will they be paying all of this as most aren't electric .. Or will that cost go onto the dwindling tax payers as well? And of course another short sharp jab to pensioners who often like a little jaunt out every day to give their life some structure and fun. Won't be able to afford that either . And many who just about make it work TO WORK won't be able to afford to carry on. Just FUMING This government are robbing everything from us Just make EVs pay road tax as normal !! As cute as this baby elephant is, realize that his mom was living in captivity and forced to work in chains for 30+ years and thankfully rescued by Aaron of Planting Peace & Following Giants just a few weeks before she gave birth...had she given birth while in captivity both the mom and baby would be living in chains and likely separated just after birth too 💔💔💔 Please retweet this if you will help me spread the word and educate people how cruelly these poor elephants are treated and why we need to rescue so many more of them! People often have lots of questions. The reality is I don’t have the answers yet. You find solutions as you go along. A man came down to me from a local 5 star villa and told me in no uncertain terms to stop feeding the dogs today as they had to go. I explained I was moving them and he was happy. Mum can’t be sterilized yet obviously as she is still raising the puppies but she will be soon ✂️ The puppies are cute so I’ll try and re-home them but they are also still too young for a home 🏡 10 dogs in general being moved around, getting sterilized, vet care, medicines and crucially are safe now ✅ Absolutely drained of energy but back again to see about the last 7 who need caught 🙏 To people with the nice messages and online support it means a lot. Let’s me focus on rounding up people and support in the ground to get this done. A good day but lots more to do 🥰

Mum can’t be sterilized yet obviously as she is still raising the puppies but she will be soon ✂️ The puppies are cute so I’ll try and re-home them but they are also still too young for a home 🏡 10 dogs in general being moved around, getting sterilized, vet care, medicines and crucially are safe now ✅ Absolutely drained of energy but back again to see about the last 7 who need caught 🙏 To people with the nice messages and online support it means a lot. Let’s me focus on rounding up people and support in the ground to get this done. A good day but lots more to do 🥰

I am going to work to share information and strategies with those involved in education, as well as parents, so that they may reduce the spread of Covid, Flu, Measles etc. as well as clean the air to provide the best learning environments possible. Back to School Does not have to mean “Back to Sick”. Every year when schools reopen many students and staff get sick with one thing or another, but there are ways to reduce the amount of sickness we are seeing. I will also post videos and graphics aimed at parents, education officials, and workers, so that we might break down some of the stigma that is attached to public health mitigations. I will be fundraising to continue my efforts, and hopefully I can raise enough to fund the next few months, any amount is appreciated, and a share goes a long way. This has been one of the most challenging years of my life, but I feel this is important, and if you do as well, I could use your help. I started my fund about 2 years ago, have spent money on billboards, had fees taken out, and stretched the rest out over almost 2 years, while providing assistance to others, and making as much noise as I can. Being “that guy who always talks about Covid” isn’t super appealing to employers, and while I know it is my choice to be vocal, I have to try everything to get by while I help others and raise awareness, until I find full time work from an understanding employer.
