A hard rescue today as I got a message from a kind local lady who needed help with an old blind dog. The poor boy was most likely dumped in the area because the “end was close for him”. He was confused on the beach and stuck. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer were it not for their bravery. His vet results were about as bad as it gets. His eyes might be glaucoma as he can’t see a thing and his kidneys and liver are bad as well as severe anemia. His anemia is so bad we can’t even put him on a drip. While I was driving him around I just had to keep talking to him as his head would keep dropping. His body is so weak. He is also very hard to handle as he lashes out with bites as he can’t see what is going on around him. He is terrified. The ladies called him Rocky as they are hoping he will make a comeback. It won’t be easy at all but he did start eating, drinking and resting well this evening. We will all have to keep everything crossed for this lovely boy. Whatever happens he isn’t on his own and he has the best medical care now. Rocky even let me pet his head tonight. I think he understands he is safe.

The hardest of decisions has been made. Tomorrow afternoon, our vet, who has been with us every step of this journey, will come to our home and help Ralph cross. Despite eating copious amounts of food, he lost 500kg in 3 weeks, down from 3kg to 2.5kg. His temperature is too low as he is too weak to regulate his body and he is showing signs of muscle weakness. Hank the Tank has fully healed now. He’s is the friendliest and biggest goofball I’ve ever met. All the humans and especially the other dogs adore him. I need to find him a home as nobody deserves it more… ⚽️ His favorite things are running, playing and treats. ✈️ He’s too big to fly anywhere at 32kg and his height 🇹🇭 He is looking for a home in Thailand. People often have lots of questions. The reality is I don’t have the answers yet. You find solutions as you go along. A man came down to me from a local 5 star villa and told me in no uncertain terms to stop feeding the dogs today as they had to go. I explained I was moving them and he was happy. Mum can’t be sterilized yet obviously as she is still raising the puppies but she will be soon ✂️ The puppies are cute so I’ll try and re-home them but they are also still too young for a home 🏡 10 dogs in general being moved around, getting sterilized, vet care, medicines and crucially are safe now ✅ Absolutely drained of energy but back again to see about the last 7 who need caught 🙏 To people with the nice messages and online support it means a lot. Let’s me focus on rounding up people and support in the ground to get this done. A good day but lots more to do 🥰
