Premier Eby says amendments to DRIPA, on Indigenous relations, are delayed because of an ongoing court appeal. He plans to introduce the changes soon. "If we want to grow the economy, we need strong partnerships with First Nations," Eby says. "It's required by the Constitution."

"I know that he is on Team Canada and I can't imagine in the end that if we meet the issues that have been raised by British Columbia that he would go off Team Canada," says Smith.
