A woman and her husband went to the store to get an Apple gift card for $100. After they got it, they had tried to use it for their iPhone. The opened the package and got the card out, the last few digits on the back of the card are missing and she couldn’t use it. She goes back to the store and speaks to customer service about a refund. Customer service claims they can’t do anything about it because there are no refunds on gift cards and they need to call the company the card is for. She then pulls a few of the same cards off of the display and opens them in front of customer service and proves to them that they all have the same issue. This does look like the card was manufactured defectively and the customer service rep acknowledged it, but why are they leaving it on the shelf for other people to buy it and be ripped off?

Nobody's going hungry in that house, obviously.” “One of the ways that people commit food stamp fraud or SNAP fraud is you get a card and it's got a certain amount of value to it, then you sell it for less than the value of what you can buy in terms of food, but you sell it for cash. It creates incentives for people to, number one, acquire as many cards as possible, number two, to keep as high a balance on these cards as possible. I've seen cards as much as $20,000, this was on an EBT card. So how does that happen — People are just kept on the program for years, and they keep rolling these balances up and whether they're using the card or not. they're supposed to get rid of it and expunge the benefits after 9 months. But if all you go and do is buy a stick of gum once every 9 months, your balance in your card, even if you're no longer on SNAP, that card is still good. It's happening across the country. When I go to certain type of stores, I will do Cash only. We all know the type of stores I'm talking about. And this is why... Not only are they getting your business, they're stealing your card info by putting skimmers on the card machines. I personally don't think its just the cashiers, or friends of theirs that they let do it. Thoughts?

Interestingly, those who assert they brought digitalisation and the Ghana Card to Ghana are unaware that the Ghana Card functions as a multipurpose card, capable of serving as a debit or prepaid card for the payment of goods and services. I do not blame them, because they were not involved in the design of the Ghana card in late 2012. The good news is that the visionary leader HE John Mahama is back to finish what he started. That is to have 1 multipurpose card for all transactions (Please watch the video attached). They should simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the smooth ride of good governance to create a SMART Ghana.

This foreigner has a Texas drivers license, social security card, federal work card and a travel card (I-94) to travel anywhere in the country. He was at the EOIR offices to check in with his 1st court appearance and to submit a change of address. He was NOT detained or arrested by ICE.
