Historic steps are being taken at Baku Stadium for energy efficiency and sustainability at COP29. Baku Stadium, the venue for the COP29 conference to be held from November 11-22, will use three main renewable energy sources to meet its electricity needs: Solar Energy System, HVO biofuel generators, and hydroelectric power plants. The complete supply of electricity during the conference from renewable sources demonstrates that the event is being conducted in line with the principles of sustainable development. Drawing on international event experience and in accordance with UN security principles, all types of security measures are nearing the completion of the preparation process.
