Present... arms. 💔 This powerful scene from Taking Chance (2009) 🎬captures the quiet dignity, profound respect, and human cost of bringing a fallen hero home. Kevin Bacon delivers a masterclass in understated emotion as Lt. Col. Mike Strobl.

I love that he didn't denigrate his uniform, the airport staff should have known better

Glorifying mass slaughter of poor, innocent people at the beckon call of Israel in countries who pose no threat to America is sickening. Wasted American lives and treasure.

Well good acting, very emotional and heroic scene but i cant stop thinking why in the earth the USA was in Iraq ?

@OTUN_SHA Taking Chance is based on a real Marine colonel’s journey escorting a young fallen soldier home the quiet respect and weight of that duty hits hard every time.

A simple salute can say more than a thousand words. Respect to every fallen heroes.

As a vet / son and brother to 2 deceased decorated combat veterans this movie always brings me to tears. It was not political it was a simple patriotic and endearing film that never gets old. Now I need a Kleenex

Kevin Bacon calling present arms for that fallen soldier hits different, the whole plane and crew just stops. Heavy respect. 🥲

This is an awesome movie. Kevin Bacon showed deep respect for the Marine he was escorting.

One of Kevin Bacon's best, in my opinion. Anytime my heart starts grieving over my losses, esp a soon and my DH, I drag this movie outta my digital library and watch it. For some strange reason it is like pure therapy for me. It certainly makes the grieving a lot less painful.😢😢

One of the most profound movies I’ve ever seen. I felt this movie down to my core. It should be mandatory to view this movie in school. Guaranteed to change you perspective.

Great acting but what concerns me is that this is how we portray the treatment of our fallen heroes yet me neglect out veterans and make them jump through never ending hoops to get the medical care they need.

My nephew just came home, Thank God. After being in Qatar for the past year and the base he was at got my bombarded over the first wave of attacks of Iran. But he's home now. Prayed everyday never to get a devastating phone call.

What bullshit. If America didn't keep getting into wars they wouldn't have to do this. 🙄

Can’t wait to see this on the big screen. My most anticipated film of the year!

This movie really put a lump in my throat. My sincere condolences to the real life family and friends. Kevin Bacon did a fantastic job with this role!

I hate it when anti American actors play the roles of heros.

This was such a touching movie showing the emotion of the journey of a deceased soldier’s remains gets home to his family for proper burial. Kevin Bacon has played many great roles but none better than in this movie. Taking Chance (2009). A somber film that I is emotional

A movie that must be seen at least once 😔🕊️. I don't think I can watch it a second time, very moving, emotional and beautifully put onto the big screen. ❤️🇺🇸

This was one of Kevin Bacons finest works and one of the most profound films I've ever watched.

Kevin Bacon doesnt get nearly enough praise as an actor, I have loved his acting since I watched Tremors as a kid at 1am on a random channel and he never fails to disappoint ❤️

This happened to me on one of my flights. A military officer was escorting the remains of a fallen soldier. I could barely hold it together as it was a tremendously emotional event for me. Such pride in those that serve and especially for those that make the ultimate sacrifice

The religious touch gives it a whole new emotion. In the name of a man written book and cross. Millions of innocent men women and children are slaughtered. Just to keep a small percentage of the world functioning at top speed and quality.

This is the saddest Honor any soldier can do

No sympathy for a zionist army. They are responsable for centuries of genocide troughout the whole world.

“He’s my brother” those three words completely gutted me this morning.. people don’t understand the true sacrifice these soldiers make for our freedom.. It’s not just them. It’s their families their brothers their sisters, their Mom & Dad their grandmas their hometown.

This scene played out in real life too many times for us not to stop & recognize the cost of the freedom we enjoy. Thanks just doesn’t seem to be enough for their sacrifice. We must honor their memories & remember their sacrifice & service.

I remember when it was my cousin and friends that came home from Vietnam in a box. Trump had heel spurs. Trump is ok with having military members come back from Iran in boxes. Men love to play war. Killing Men have learned nothing

I don’t remember ever meeting a commercial airline pilot who hadn’t served. No surprise that the pilot showed the proper respect 🫡

Reading the comments, it makes me feel a little better knowing that I’m not the only one that got teary eyed from this incredible movie, that’s based on a true story. I’ve watched it a few times, and every time (even watching this one scene) it gets me. Always honor the fallen.

Love this movie. A must watch

28th Feb, Minab, 120 children… falling for that propaganda again

This is one of the most powerful rolls he plaid in . This video hits home to a service family personal . My father " Marine " made it home safe from his service but many do not . God Bless all of those lost souls .

This scene always hits so hard, the quiet dignity in every salute, the way strangers show respect without needing words.

Nice propaganda movie. Why send your kid to die for absolutely nothing. There is no honor in dying for your country. Just because they tell you so, does not make it true. Our countries are being invaded by enemies daily, why don’t you go die for that and protect your streets?

Some scenes deserve silence more than applause.
