A woman in London saw my ‘No Hijab Day’ posts, found her voice, and challenged her workplace’s blind endorsement of the hijab. She feared backlash. Instead, HR listened. Not only did they reconsider their messaging, but they also invited her to lead an International Women's Day presentation on why the hijab is anti-feminist. Mandatory veiling is oppression, not empowerment. It should be questioned, not celebrated. Speak up. Challenge the narrative. Stand with the women who are risking everything. You are not in Iran. There is no morality police coming for you. Your voice matters.

Since the NPP’s blame of COVID-19 for Ghana’s economic issues won’t go away, I took a few minutes of my presentation on TV3 this morning to address it. The pandemic undeniably impacted economies globally, but the extent of the damage matters. For instance, why did Ghana’s fiscal balance deteriorate so much compared to other countries in the sub-region? Before COVID-19, Ghana’s deficit wasn’t the worst in sub-Saharan Africa and was closer to the regional average. So what changed in 2020? Could election-related spending have played a role? The IMF later identified the 2020 elections as a factor in Ghana’s fiscal situation.

Whether I would make a mistake, or stumble, or crack a note, putting all that aside, I tell myself to have fun. Another thing I really value is… Usually one would find visual presentation important as well, and care a lot about facial expressions or making sure the outfit is perfectly put together. But I’m not great at multitasking. For me, it’s just two things: singing and dancing. Other than those, I don’t really care much. Even if my facial expressions aren’t pretty, that’s just how I look when I’m singing. I shut everything else out and focus only on those two things. Because I need to do well. People came to see the show, the quality has to be there. As a performer and singer, that’s what matters most to me.

This year, renewables and storage covered 100% of Texas’ demand growth. Through July, ERCOT consumption rose ~17 terawatt-hours compared to last year. And nearly all of that incremental demand was met by clean generation. Through July of this year: ⚡ Solar is up ~47% year, adding 12 TWh ⚡ Wind added 3 TWh ⚡ Storage tripled to 3 TWh Gas still provides a large share of ERCOT’s power and remains an important part of the grid. But the growth in demand this year, the extra electricity Texans are using, has been supplied almost entirely by renewables and storage. That extra supply matters for affordability. Prices are rising due to higher fuel and transmission & distribution costs, but renewables and storage are holding them down compared to where they would be otherwise. This analysis comes from my special quarterly presentation, a deep dive into the latest trends in Texas energy and power. The takeaway: Texas’ growth story is increasingly being powered by renewables and storage. Pewbeam is live 🎉 This was just a dream, a dream I didn’t even know was possible—but I decided to pursue it anyway. Today, that dream is now a reality. We have a desktop app (Windows and macOS—this weekend) that can do all of this and even more. Over the last six months, I’ve pushed myself and my team hard, and I’ve seen people become hopeful and genuinely blessed by this product. I’ve received strong support from pastors, church members, techies, and several media houses and reporters. It has been a great honor to spend myself on something worthwhile. We’ve built an AI-native presentation app that displays relevant scriptures on screen in under 80 ms, without needing a volunteer. We’re starting with scriptures, but we’re growing into a comprehensive presentation software, with slides launching next month. From testing Pewbeam 2.0 is live🥳 in churches over the last four weeks, pastors have been able to focus on what matters instead of juggling or micromanaging the media team while preaching. Church members have been able to follow their pastor’s references in real time and take better notes. In the words of a member from one of the test churches: “Pewbeam changed the way I follow sermons in church completely.” This is the kind of impact I see Pewbeam having on people’s faith and on how church and worship are done. Pewbeam’s mission is to ensure the Church is not left behind in the AI era. We’re starting with this application, with many more to come in the next few months. We’ll keep working with stakeholders in the Christian faith, collect feedback, and build tools that better support discipleship. And unlike previous waves of technology, I believe we can be among the first movers in this AI revolution. With all that said, the final build of the app is ready, and we’re launching for public download on February 25, 2026. The app has a generous free tier for small churches and fellowships, and a paid plan (location-based pricing) that unlocks unlimited access to all features.
