Children in our villages have been left to work as labourers... But now, governments must pay attention to government schools. You cannot shirk your responsibility... If they do not comply, we will stage protests there."

This is not a criticism of President Ruto but of all politicians in this country. Why is it that politicians are quick to contribute to church functions and construction, but since I was born I have never seen politicians mobilizing resources to build hospitals or schools? President Ruto, those Asian tigers—Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and China—that you keep referring to in your speeches were not donating 30 million in churches. We can use those resources to develop our nation.
