Every child is a gift from God and a blessing. However, how they are created is not always good or moral. I could make the same argument many make (my children are only here because of IVF) to instead justify one-night-stands, infidelity, incest, or r*pe. The ends (the good of children) do not justify the means (the killing of innocent human beings). Sadly, there is a very high probability that the IVF clinics that allowed many to have children also discarded (killed) an even higher number of your those children's brothers and sisters. Some of them may even be indefinitely frozen. Many people do not understand this and only see it as bringing life to those who suffer from infertility. Only 4-8% of the embryos (human beings) conceived through IVF survive to birth. Expanding IVF (which involves mass-scale killing of innocent human beings, eugenics, and indefinite freezing) is immoral. There are treatments that are as effective, much cheaper, and moral. IVF likely kills more innocent human beings than abortion. Only 30-50% of fertilized eggs make it to the blastocyst stage. Clinics then grade blastocysts and discard (kill) ones that have a low (30-33%) or moderate (~36%) chance of implanting, saving good quality embryos (~44% chance) for transfer/freezing. Of these good quality embryos, 30-40% are eventually destroyed (killed). Many remain frozen indefinitely.
