The Ministry of National Defense on July 26 reported heavy casualties and widespread displacement following the attacks. Ministry Spokesperson Lieutenant-General Maly Socheata confirmed that five Cambodian soldiers were killed and 21 others injured in Oddar Meanchey province. Civilian casualties were even higher, with eight confirmed dead and at least 50 wounded. More than 35,000 civilians have been forced to flee across several provinces.
