C-SPAN CALLER: “First of all, I want to appreciate the president and give him credit for being able to show up the second time after the first incident.” “I think a lot of people don’t give the president credit.” “He jokes a lot. He is a funny guy, and I think he is going to do his best to have fun tonight.” “The media is very critical of him, and sometimes he also lashes out at the media, but I think tonight he’s going to joke about the media, he’s going to joke about himself, and just try to have a good time with the media tonight.” “As you can see, over the years, his relationship has developed with the media, even some people who you think would not have a good relationship with the president, eventually have a good relationship with the president.” “For instance, the president of this organization…they didn’t have a relationship in his first administration, but today they do have a good relationship.” “So I think the president is someone who, when you get to know him, when you get closer to him, you get to understand him more.”

President Trump: they're going to set up a meeting now between President Zelenskyy and President Putin. "We agreed on a lot of points. But there's not that much. There's, you know, one or two pretty significant items, but I think they can be reached. Now it's really up to President Zelenskyy to get it done. And I would also say the European nations, they have to get involved a little bit, but it's up to President Zelenskyy. And if they'd like, I'll be at that next meeting.
