Yesterday in SD it rained all day. Poured in fact. Phil worked on his game all day. He and mark, hit balls in the morning, walked 9 holes w a pushcart and worked on their short game in the afternoon. Pretty impressive at 53 to be grinding that hard.

LuJames "Gino" Groover III is probably the best player in the country that nobody is talking about. Dude is coming off a .364/.440/.568 campaign. Then he hit like .600 this fall. Reportedly looked pretty darn good at 3B too. Not a lot of holes in his game/approach/bat speed.

Just how good is Royal Dornoch ? Well, the US GOLF Magazine has it ranked at number 10 in the world - above the likes of Muirfield, Turnberry and Pebble Beach. Tom Doak explained to me why he thinks that is - 'The more I've thought about it over the years, I have come to the conclusion that Dornoch is the Scottish links most likely to appeal to Americans. It’s so pretty and after the opening holes you always have a view of the water'. He then went on to wax lyrical about the approach shots and interesting set of greens! I'll be heading there on June 23rd next year if you want to join me to see for yourself. In the meantime, here's the 14th hole, Foxy.

One of the new conspiracy rabbit holes I've been exploring recently, as many of you have seen from my posts, is Simulation Theory. Part of the reason why I put it off for so long is because, frankly, I thought there wouldn't be that much to explore. "Our world is a video game and we're plugged in like Neo", was pretty much what I expected the long and short of it to be. I was very, very wrong. Simulation Theory has really surprised me, as not only does it tie together lots of head-scratcher open ends to other cosmology and history-related threads in a very logically-satisfying way, but just like the rabbit holes of Old World and Flat Earth, it completely changes the way you look at the world around you, expanding your mind in the process. (Which is beneficial IMO even if it turns out to be completely wrong). One of my favorite examples of how Simulation Theory (A) Changes how you look at your environment around you and (B) Provides satisfying answers to confusing unanswered questions, is the topic of ANCIENT CATHEDRALS. 🚨😭CRYBABY ALERT: DERANGED INFLUENCER GAVE A TUTORIAL ON PASSING OFF WOKE EVIL AS CIVILITY A TikTok activist just posted a “crafts” video that quickly turned into a wink‑wink display of a shooting target. She pointed to bullet holes and joked about going far enough left to start “kicking ass and taking names” on the right. Yes, the right, not “extremists,” not “Nazis,” just anyone who isn’t terminally woke. She tried to play it off as edgy humor, because nothing says comedy like target practice in preparation for political murder. Pretty visuals, playful tone, violent implication, classic tactic. It’s a great example of a larger pattern: soften extremism with irony, mislabel opponents with lies, and use warped logic to justify witch hunts. They’ll smile while threatening violence, then accuse you of being the threat for noticing. She even capped it with “f*** ICE,” just in case the point wasn’t obvious. Anyway, pass the popcorn, let's see how this one fares when restraining her mental instability publicly runs out of fuel. Cheers to Tears of the Left!

Jon Rahm on the LIV format: “Yeah, obviously there’s been a bit of a change. There was a lot more about LIV Golf that was attractive to me, right. Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. To be honest, the more I started thinking about it, the more I started thinking about my college days that were 3 day tournaments, 54 holes, and everybody warmed up together for the most part. 24 year old Spaniard David Puig shot a 3 under par 67 to climb inside the top 10 of the PGA Championship, just 3 shots off the lead. It’s the highest position he’s held after any round of a major and he spoke about how that feels: “No, yeah, very excited. I get up every day for weeks and days like today. I'm really excited about the weekend. I think obviously I could do some things better, hopefully the weekend. “But I think I've been getting a little better year after year, and I definitely got to this major championship as best prepared as I ever was, and compared to the other ones that I played. “So really excited to have some sort of late tee time on a Saturday at a major championship, and I'll give my best and hopefully it's good.” David played with 21 year old Aldrich Potgieter today and they are both the new school of modern player, who absolutely send it off the tee. He spoke about that: “No, yeah, it was awesome. He's a really talented player. He hits it really far. I think I hit it pretty far, but he's definitely longer than me. And, yeah, I mean he -- obviously the last couple holes, with a couple bogeys, but he played unbelievable golf today and yesterday. “He's pretty much accomplished a lot of things already, but he's got a really, really bright future in front of him. So amazing player.” David won the Australian PGA on his debut as a DP World Tour member, and the golf world is already fully aware of his talent. It feels like it’s just a matter of time before he announces himself on the biggest stage and he has a great chance to do that this weekend at Aronimink.
