Saturday stop at Tampa Jesuit to visit Kaden Henderson, one of the top LBs in 2027. Has already visited Florida this season. Will visit UCF next weekend. Will visit FSU for a game soon. Out of state schools like Oklahoma, Oregon and Tennessee are on his radar early.

So I have to tell you what is going on in my life. This last month has been overwhelming for me. By that I mean that I just didn't want to go on after Vinnie died. He wasn't the first to leave me but he was different. When my illness got worse, Vinnie wouldn't leave me. I just didn't have a reason to care anymore. I started looking online at adoptable Chihuahuas and thought I had found one here in Oregon but was turned down because I couldn't take her for 2-3 walks a day and because I didn't have a large attached yard. A "X" friend found this little guy in Texas. The rescue has waved his adoption fee and my "X" friend is paying for the transportation cost. Please welcome "Tank". He left Texas this morning and should be here by Sunday. His family surrendered him (at age 9) to a high kill shelter and a small rescue was able to pull him. Now he will be with me for the rest of his life. He does have cataracts but I am hoping to find help with surgery through large discounts at Oregon Humane because of my age and with help from my Vet if he needs it. Right now he isn't at that point. He had two lumps removed and is cancer free. I hope that Vinnie would approve because Tank isn't replacing him. No one will ever replace him. I will let you know when he gets here.

Last night, at my friend Mike Wilkerson’s wedding at Mar-a-Lago, the President showed up. There is a state park by me that closes when the sun goes down for safety reasons. I always see people find a way in there to do what they need to do. No matter what they do mayor be add a gate or even have more law enforcement, there’s no stopping it. These people are sitting in their car. They see people walking in and out of the woods while they are sitting there eating and chatting. The people going in and out look so out of place, like they are in a zombie apocalypse. If I saw people just struggling in and out of the woods, looking dirty, no flashlights at all. I would think they are up to something. Especially for the hikers making their way back and hearing rumbling and voices I would be creeped out too.

You probably think you need to do more cardio. Longer workouts. More miles. More suffering. But what if you just made the walk you're already taking a little more challenging? I've been a big fan of weighted vests for years because they're simple. You put one on, go for a walk, and suddenly your body has to do more work without you spending any more time exercising. The data is pretty impressive and one of the biggest mistakes I see people make is thinking health has to be extreme to be effective. Most of the time, the answer is taking something you're already doing and making it a little better. A weighted vest is a great example of that. Just walk.
