One of the best pieces of advice I ever got in my Jiu-Jitsu journey… When I was a blue belt juvenile, some of my training partners kept saying I was using too much strength. In my mind, I didn’t think I was. My instructor came to talk to me and asked, “Bernardo, are you using too much strength?” I said, “I guess so, since everyone is saying it.” Then he asked, “Are you getting tired?” I told him, “No, I have good cardio and I have been training and lifting a lot.” He looked at me and said, “Then keep using your strength.” That advice stayed with me forever. For me, the main lesson is simple. In Jiu-Jitsu, the right thing is whatever works for you. If you are doing something and it works, do not let anyone tell you it is wrong or that you should change it. Whatever works is the right way. What are your thoughts?

You were born in the middle of the night, in the midst of the biggest, most beautiful snowstorm NY had seen in years!! I remember riding in the car and looking out the window, where everything was twinkling and covered in white that night, as I held you both in my belly for the last few moments before I gave birth to you. It was as if God was making sure you would enter a world full of pure magic!! In my heart, I knew that’s how your life would always be!! When I would hold you as infants, I honestly felt as if I were holding two angels sent straight from heaven above. My life was changed forever. I cannot believe you are now adults…18 years old! Sometimes as a man or an athlete, you struggle and you are in your own head. Your own thoughts get so loud that you can hear nothing else. This is when l ask God to see me throughbecause as imperfect as I am I try to remember I was also made in His image. I kneel down to Him in gratitude for saving me. I thank all of my team, my coaches and all my fans for your love and supports always. 🙏🏾

I posted a few weeks ago what happened to me last time I was trying to have a session at the local cemetery. I wasn’t getting many voices that time however I kept having equipment malfunctions and the fresh batteries were absolutely drained. It was almost if they didn’t want to be heard. This young lady was having a spirit box session at her local cemetery, and getting many responses, some of which scared her. She was fine up until one of them said her name. I’ve always believed that they are always present and just can’t be seen. They get to know us and our names and such, it’s kind of eerie knowing or feeling like I am being watched at all times. There are people who believe the voices are real but feel it has to be a negative entity pretending to be a person. I can say that I have no explanation for this. However when running the spirit box in reverse it’s hard to ignore when I get full sentences to my question. I’ve always felt that since we are made of energy and energy never dissipates, I think the essence or spirit of a person can linger, and that explains the voices or things moving and hauntings. I would love to hear your explanation to what these are or whether you believe in it or not. For the time being I do believe they are spirits, however I am clueless as to why they would be hanging around a cemetery as if stuck in limbo.
