Pretty stunning testimony here from Sarah Wynn-Williams, the latest Meta whistleblower to come forward, to Sen. Sen. Marsha Blackburn: "Facebook was targeting 13-17-year-olds. It could identify when they were feeling worthless, or helpless... and share it with advertisers."

@MarshaBlackburn Just wait until X the 'Everything App' has access to all the data it stole about you from the federal government. The list of what DOGE and thus Elon knows about you is _obscene_. (1/3)

@jason_kint @MarshaBlackburn ". It could identify when they were feeling worthless, or helpless... and share it with advertisers." That information is disturbing & demands the greatest care & respect. And not sharing with advertisers. Which could easily be very corrupt & dangerous.

@ideologicalized @MarshaBlackburn This is very disturbing and it shows that the core idea was to move fast and break things, while including human children as things to break, for profit.

@MarshaBlackburn Terrible. I have demanded to see family members’ X feeds, it really feels like this platform is worse. It bombards individuals with posts (not by accounts they follow) that specifically trigger them personally.

@MarshaBlackburn I can't believe how normal and righteous marsha b was yesterday. You can tell she believes in what she said, bc she wasn't being an overtly performative clown.

@MarshaBlackburn Good to see more Facebook/Meta whistleblowers! Will Blackburn and other Sens listen and help children harmed by the Zucks' treatment or just keep feeding at the PAC$ trough?

@MarshaBlackburn Luckily no one under the age of 45 is still on fb. Kids are safe.

@MarshaBlackburn 13-17-year-olds? Facebook is for old people and many of us have left it. Nothing but ads and unwanted "suggested for you" crap. It stopped being fun a long time ago. It'll go the way of MySpace soon. Actually, maybe someone should bring back MySpace.
