A quick tutorial on YouTube would've saved you $1,200. You paid that because you have no fking idea how to tighten a nut.

She got ripped off like shit when I was doing plumbing. I would have just charged for materials, and time probably would have come out to $175 because honestly, I would have re soldered the joints.Cuz that shit looks janky

I didn’t even need to see the work to say “yeah you probably got ripped off”

She didn’t really get ripped off. You are behind. That is where plumbing prices are or are headed. Nobody goes into the trades so now you pay me like a doctor or lawyer. Reality check… tell your kids to go into the trades not college

The going rate in my area of Texas to replace the water spigot outside coming out of the bricks is $1,000. Crazy what plumbers are charging these days.

300$ just to show up, 3x on parts, so 150$. 2hr minimum billing at $300 hr, little steep for my area, but if you are in a large metro area or the coasts, that’s not improbable.

I'm not a plumber but if she needs any electrical work done I'm available

Either way, always ask for a quote. I typically don’t accept time and material either. No quote? Find another plumber.

That's about an hour max. Probably a $300 job.

I am pretty sure that job was done by @TheCensoredRock and his fine crew.

Dummy. What’s it going to cost, an estimated prior to work being done. Peeps are dummies.

If you could have bought it on Amazon, why didn’t you? Oh yeah, that’s right! YOU didn’t know that’s what you needed. YOU also wouldn’t know what to do with when it got there. The dude that carries the item you need and has the expertise to install it deserves to be paid!

My radiator on my car suddenly gushed all the water out of my old Cutlass. I drove it to a local gas station repair place. 5 men looked at it. Told me I needed a new radiator. It got hot and cracked. It wasn't hot. Told me $250. My mechanic fixed it for $11. No leak. Rusted plug. Women are dupes for some businesses.

You got fucked. Plumbers think they are lawyers these days. Mine wanted $320 to change a wax ring on a toilet. $5 part 15-20 minutes start to finish.
