Watching it closely, the one guy who pulled Vance reached his conclusion faster than everyone else, it’s not that everyone else was necessarily slow.

He has his own detail and they did their job. While JD was just realizing there was a threat SS had comms/earpieces calling out the threat. POTUS detail was slower to respond by 5-10 seconds... which will 100% be a debrief item.

First goal was to get them separated, then get cover for POTUS, and then move him.

While my hats off to the agents that was directly faced with shooter!! It took 13 seconds for my President to be covered after hearing the first shot and even longer to be removed AGAIN! Third times a charm and I for one am sick of this BULLSHIT!!

I'm sorry but Hilton Hotels can NOT escape negligance in this violent incident. They should have shut down outside guest from staying at the hotel who were not apart of the WHCD event. And the @SecretService should have demanded it.

As others have said I'm sure the difference in SS reaction is largely due to Trump's age and relative lack of mobility compared to Vance. Trump was covered from direct fire before Vance.
