The Sunland-Tujunga Fourth of July Parade, the longest-running Independence Day parade in the San Fernando Valley with over fifty years of tradition, has been canceled this year. It featured marching bands, vintage cars, community groups, veterans, and local families celebrating together. Organizers say the city withdrew support, leaving them on the hook for more than twenty thousand dollars in traffic control and street closure costs. They claim the mayor’s office gave initial assurances of help but then went silent, and rising costs plus delays made it impossible to fundraise in time. This happened in America’s 250th anniversary year, which has left many residents especially disappointed. Karen Bass canceled the 250th celebration because she is a Communist. Today is the Primary Vote accordingly 🇺🇸 Make LA a great city again.

On America’s 250th birthday it felt appropriate to purchase a large chainsaw sculpture of a Bald Eagle. We picked it up on the way out of Deadwood this morning and Tim carried it on his shoulder like the patriot he is.
