Parents who complain when teachers use old methods to discipline their kids at school must consider home schooling. Teachers can't deal with these unruly and ungrateful kids. The Dept of Education is not helping them as well..

Last week a grade 8 learner called me a fucking bitch. That boy was back at school a day later and nothing can be done about it. Yesterday a parent called my colleague a vuilgat and nothing will be done. Teachers go through a lot and nobody's on their side.

The last time I got a beating was in primary when I got late, thereafter I have never been late or unruly anymore until I finished school.

I thank my teachers who did this to me from primary to secondary school they did well

Due to the lack of discipline in our schools, unruly and undisciplined behaviour has become the norm. Crime , drugs and poor performance are seen daily. When corporal punishment was allowed, discipline in schools were maintained. It should be reinstated.
