She kept going because of her chest hurting and they told her she had pneumonia and none of the medication for pneumonia working so she got admitted for IV treatment still not working. It was fungal pneumonia and the cd4 was low but she looked completely healthy. She had hiv and got it from her husband

A lot of patients opt out of being tested for HIV and hepatitis when they come into the hospital. I always try my best to educate and encourage testing.
