$69?? I can't remember the last time I saw a doctor and it was that cheap. I'm in Florida, btw. I spend $1,000/mo on private health insurance for my family. We have a $17,000 deductible. People don't have to worry about a public system here. 1/

I would like to add that in the US even if you have the money and you have health insurance it still sucks. The ins co's force you to go to their chosen labs, imaging centers and Dr's.

All Canadians should have to experience an emergency room visit in a big city in the U.S. before saying that for-profit healthcare is a viable option for the Canadian system.

As an American who has the opportunity to experience both systems, Canada is by far superior when it comes to quality of care. Improving the wait times is where the focus should be from an investment perspective.

Wait till public healthcare costs your love ones their life because they couldn't get it... Or conversely you flew your loved one down south and paid to find out they needed surgery asap or their cancer would spread and they would die... Lets have a real debate on this
