Supreme Court passed an order in 2004 Modern School case that Delhi schools are bound to take permission from the Directorate of Education before increasing their fees... But they (AAP) got this order dismissed in 2024 in Delhi High Court... Rekha Gupta will investigate the corruption in such cases where under-the-table money was taken...A committee will be formed under the leadership of CM Rekha Gupta and all schools will be audited and if any school fails any criterion, it will not be spared..."

We are being blamed for increasing Delhi school fees... During this time, Atishi was the Chief Minister. Angel Public School increased the fees by 14% in 2022-23, but no investigation was conducted... They are naming Salwan Public School, which was caught with misappropriation of Rs 1.66 crore, increased the fees by 23.84% in 2023-24 and 14.68% in 2024-25... Lancer's Convent School also allegedly spent Rs 4 crore as corruption and it increased the fees by 34% in 2024-25 and the previous government did not conduct any investigation... All 1,677 schools must be audited while only 75 schools have been audited annually for last 10 years... For 10 yrs under Arvind Kejriwal, parents did not have to step out, no private school dared to increase fees. They thought this was the new normal,so they voted BJP. As soon as BJP CM took oath parents are back to the Sheila Dikshit era. 0 sympathy.

For the first time, a DM-headed committee took action against DPS which had challenged the Delhi government's decision in court. The court upheld our stand and directed the DM to ensure proper education for students. After 5 years of protests against arbitrary fee hikes, DPS has finally been held accountable, thanks to the efforts of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's government... We will now take strict action based on the committee's report. For far too long working parents have been disadvantaged in trying to secure a pre-school nursery place of their choosing. This is because the criteria meant that children with a parent on benefits got preference for that place. This is fundamentally unfair. There are enough pre-school nursery places for every child, yet parents under pressure of school drop off and trying to get to work for a certain time were actually discriminated against and disadvantage JUST because they work. I have had many parents contact me frustrated by this, as have my colleagues so I am incredibly pleased that my DUP colleague, the Education Minister has been able to get this criteria changed and announced today. Hard working parents should be supported, not discriminated against. #DUPDelivery
