@IAStartingLine 100% agree. I went to private schools k-12 understanding my parents wanted a religious education. Never did they expect to use tax dollars to fund my education.

@IAStartingLine We never had kids but have no problem with our tax dollars going to public schools. The vast majority of private schools have religious ties and we definitely do NOT want our tax dollars paying for religious education.

Fine @RobSandIA - if you want private schools to be forced to accept all students, then fund them the same as the public schools. Half the funding won't cut it anymore... In order to accomplish your goal, local/county taxes will need to be diverted to private schools too (instead of just state dollars!)

@IAStartingLine But public schools are failing students in reading and math, the lowest in decades, you have to give parents a choice so children can't learn and not be indoctrinate. Public schools have never improved in decades. There is never any talk about our failing public schools

@IAStartingLine We don’t want our private schools dragged to the lowest common denominator, public schools. Public schools should change their policies if they have issues with it not force private schools to adopt them.
