PRO TIP! 📢 ‼️ I just learned a fun tip to make FFXIV look WAY less blurry and a whole lot sharper by dropping your 3D Resolution Scaling from 100 to 99! Check this! 👇👇Might help you out!! HUGE difference for me!

Here's the clip since Twitter compression isn't showing the difference well:

It's because when you drop the setting below 100 it enables AMD FSR. What you're actually doing is enabling AMD's upscaling which applies a sharpening filter to try and hide it's imperfections If people prefer it there's nothing wrong with that of course

I must be blind because I see no difference D:

I couldn't tell what was going on because of twitter compression but I tried this in game and it really is a night and day difference. Good tip!

this felt like the difference between my glasses and having them off holy shit

That's what i said, its like putting contacts in, lol

Um I just did this thinking you were full of BS and it worked, so now I'm just confused. 🤣

The settings themselves are bugged; DLSS ruins the image even by DLSS standards, and FSR while not perfect still doesn’t work as intended. I turned them off entirely for now. The implementation is horrible and apparently gposing changes the settings so DLSSTweaks won’t work.

Great tip, but also good to note that setting scaling below 100 will cause the Depth Buffer to become misaligned. So for ReShade/Gshade users that uses shaders like MXAO or anything else that relies on depth buffer, probably best to stay at 100 and use Sharpness shaders instead.

okay, twitter compression not doing this tiny change justice, holy
